Back in December, I asked a friend of mine who’s a Lightning fan how long he thought their championship window would be open. He said it may already be closed. I don’t think it’s a maybe anymore. Gotta finish them off on Saturday.

This is the team people think Boston tanked to avoid? (I do not. I don’t think hockey players at this level give a shit who they match up against.) I think Toronto is an easier out for us, but playing like this, no one in the east stands a chance.
I think the key we have this year is that losing important players hasn’t affected our game. We have the depth that we lacked last year. Last season’s run was just so vital to forming this playoff team. We had no clue how to play in the playoffs. No heart. Now we have it.

So satisfying to win this game and shut up these biased announcers and refs! I understand that the more games are played the more work for everyone, but they don’t have to be so openly biased and lose all professionalism.
Respect to Tampa though. I really like their lightning team and the amount of hate we both get for being hockey teams in the south.
