  1. I believe the Blackhawks made a mistake keeping Korchinski in the NHL. You’re talking like he dominated junior hockey similar to Bedard. He wasn’t. He was a third team Canadian Junior All-Star. He played bottom pairing minutes on his World Junior team. Ethan Del Mastro played top pairing minutes on that same team BTW. He looked very frustrated at times especially when he made a mistake and the puck ended up in the Hawks net. Davidson said they weren’t going rush prospects. Keeping Isaak Phillips on the NHL team and sending Korchinski back to juniors made more sense. Phillips is more seasoned and physically mature than Korchinski. Also it shocked me after one game that Richardson said he wanted Korchinski to play with more of an edge. He didn’t play with an edge in the WHL playing against teenagers and 20 year olds. Why would you expect him to play with an edge against grown men. Makes no sense. Del Mastro in his brief two games in the NHL looked more NHL ready than Korchinski. It would not surprise me at all if Korchinski started next season in Rockford. He was not NHL ready this season.

  2. I disagree with Charlie that Korchinski cannot be a high-end defensive defenseman. At 19 years old, he has so much growth ahead of him, he is very talented. It took Duncan Keith (who has a smaller frame than Korchinski) four years of development before he saw NHL ice at 22. Korchinski has the frame and talent to be a defensive beast at some point maybe in five or six years.

  3. Why is the NHL draft lottery such a big secret? This frustrates/angers me. Why can't they just tell us day and time? NHL=🤬
