  1. legitimate difference maker. should be on the ice every night. especially against a dirty caps team.

He’s young, he plays hard, the other team fears him, which impacts the way they play and protects our guys making them feel safer plus as he’s a decent 4th liner to boot

People make fun of Rempe’s career stats, but I honestly believe he’s had a real impact on the other players on the team. One player who chose to remain anonymous said to one of the beat writers that all the attention Rempe gets takes the pressure off the other players so they can focus on their game. Kakko said that the games without Rempe were boring. The crowd gets fired up whenever he’s on the ice and Panarin has been pretty vocal about how the crowd has a positive effect on his own game, which is why I don’t think it’s a coincidence that he scored literally one minute after Rempe did in game 1.

He’s become the team mascot lol. The guys seem to love him and he’s got such an effect on how they play when he’s in the lineup. I think an underrated aspect of the success we’ve had with him is the crowds at the Garden, too. He gets the fans into the game every time he’s in the ice. I’ve never seen a rookie come in and be loved by everyone so quickly.

I’m so excited to see what he looks like next year after an off season of bulking up, learning to fight, and maybe training with a skating coach.

The sky is the limit when you’re that big, tough, AND skilled.

IT has been a veeeery long time since I have bought a jersey.

I bought this one with no hesitation and I don’t even like it. This Jersey with Rempe will live forever in my mind.

I absolutely love the guy! He comes across as such a lovely guy too. I saw that the other night he was the only player to greet fans after the match. What a nice guy!

Reminds me of the Kakko stat that someone posted in February:

    Before Kakko injury 15-3-1
    During Kakko injury 11-10-1
    After Kakko injury 10-3-1

Gotta love these young difference makers

in the time he’s been on ice, the 4th line has looked better than it has all season.

Who’s going to win the Calder next year and why is it Matt Rempe?

  10. Stanleys_Cup

Shades of Sean Avery with that kind of intangible influence

He’s good for morale. The fans get into it when hes on the ice and he stands up for his teammates without being a liability on the ice. Everybody has a role right now and he’s excelling at his

That’s… a 142 point season if we had him all year. Take a backseat, Panarin, you scrub! /s 🙂
