Like what the actual fuck. We played so well all season they get our hopes up because we know how good they can play and then just have no ducking effort or heart. It looks like they don’t want it. They realize they won’t be given the Stanley cup ? Absolute disappointment. It actually sucks to be a jets fan

  2. bones is not the one taking bs penalties every single game and leaving helle out to dry. i almost always agree with you for everything i do not agree with this. these players have done this to themselves

  3. 91 needs to play in a top 6 spot. He's not effective in a bottom 6 checking roll. Too small for that. Maybe 13 take 22 spot and 91 slots in on the 1st line.

  4. I agree coaching has something to do with it considering there's been three straight games with exactly the same outcome. Barely any adjustments in play, and why the & #!@ are we not playing Miller!
I've come to the conclusion that Hellebuyck is not a playoff goaltender. I can't remember a game or a series in the past number of years that he has stolen from the opposite team. As much as he says he is mentally good and can play I believe he has a certain level of cognitive dissonance that is costing the team.
Still played too many games during the regular season especially with number 39 waiting in the wings, not taking of advantage of 39 whatsoever and we're most likely not going to have him next year. Have absolutely wasted the chance with this very good team that absolutely will not look the same next year.

  5. Ehlers, shief, vilardi
    Perfetti, monohan, conner
    Tyfolli, Lowry, Nino
    Apples, gusbus, iofallo

Maybe lb in goal but dought full tbh.

  6. I also have to say yes the coaching is suppose to make changes but if it's not working the captain and assistant captains cam say fuck it it's not working and make a game plan.

  7. No doubt Bones has been thoroughly out coached. Colorado is a powerhouse but Seattle beat them last year. The Kraken weren't exactly an elite team, so the Jets could be much more competitive if the proper line up were put out there.

  8. Basically no one at this point is innocent in The Jets organization, and it really sucks to see.

  9. To some extent you have to give the Jets a slight break and acknowledge that the Avs just look razor sharp, looking like a threat to possibly repeat . Im sure the Jets couldve handled VAN or Nashville, but the Avs look world class again

  10. Captain Lowery plays with a losers mentality. Gets frustrated and tried to goon it up instead of playing harder hockey. His team follows his leadership and Dillon ends up getting injured.

  11. Jets were overconfident because of the regular season. After the Avs won the presidents trophy and lost in the second round MacKinnon said the regular season doesn’t matter. Avs are a team that only cares about playoffs and throws the regular season out the window.

  12. I think Jets fans wish it was as simple as making a coaching change. Unfortunately I think its much deeper then that. The core 'stars' on this team have not stepped up and lose nearly every battle, can't make breakout passes, and can't stay out of the penalty box, and just can't make plays. That's on the players, has nothing to do with systems. Some guys rise the the occasion of the playoffs and some do not. You can't adjust for lack of heart and determination.

  13. What the jets honestly need is a game breaker, someone who will say no, we are enforcing our will on them. AVS frankly have four Mack, Cale, Mikko and Valri N. You can have structure and play the right way, but at the end of the day you have to want it more than your opponent. The Jets don't want it more, and that comes down to individual players stepping up. The regular season means nothing in the NHL.

  14. Not really a fair assessment. Some coaching decisions have been bad but it was coaching that got them here. The team seems to be playing regular season hockey rather than playoff hockey. They get the puck and they wait until they are engaged by the Avalanche before they get their feet moving. They also are not moving fast enough to pressure the Avalanche and the Avalanche are using speed to disrupt the Jets system. The Jets were beat by the Vegas Golden Knights twice in the playoffs (2018 and 2023) because they did not step up to the tempo required. It's all a bit odd because when the Jets were successful during the regular season it was because they were skating fast and maximizing their chances based on Bones' system which in my mind emulated some of the things that made the Knights successful. The Jets were doing so well at disrupting other teams because they were often outnumbering the opposition and creating situations where they had a 3 on 2 on zone entries, or they had such a strong back check that they would have 4 on 3 situations if the other team was even successful at navigating the neutral zone and entering the Jets zone then they would transition back quickly to offense by using the weak side D to jump up in the play rather than the strong side winger (who was usually on the wall chipping the puck up and out). They were using cycling and switch plays so often in the O zone that other teams kept making mistakes on defensive coverage and retrieving the puck off the wall or from behind the net almost always with a second man in support faster than other teams so they were able to maintain possession. Watching that team play was really fun….right now, they are not moving fast enough to make these plays happen. These types of plays are all tactical and clearly have Bones' finger prints all over them.

  15. During the 1.0 era of the Jets, Selanne scores 76 goals in a season. Next year, Housley gets moved. All of a sudden, “Selanne sucks. Selanne gas no speed. Selanne is a bust.” NO. THE DEFENCE can’t get the puck up to the forwards in a reasonable fashion. THAT was your problem, and IS your problem now.

  16. The Winnipeg Jets have no passion or drive anymore to fight and win. The pushback we’ve seen in December and all season long has just diminished, it’s not existent, it’s invisible. Now, I’m probably delusional, but I’m hoping for the best for tomorrow night since it is home ice and I’m really rooting for the boys to come back and win this series. Now I completely blame Rick because he continuously believes on something that never works and probably something that would never work, but the boys need to show up too. A great regular season going to waste…

  17. It’s AMAZING that the staff and fans can’t figure out that Neal Pionk has been responsible for at least 12 goals against in 3 games. They CRY that “Hellebuyck can’t handle the puck.” Well if you were SMART, you’d see it was PIONK that poke checked Helly of the puck RIGHT TO A COLORADO PLAYER!! Then Helly stopped the first shot, but couldn’t stop the second shot. Who was there to stop the second shot? Neal Pionk. Did he? Of course not! But it’s not like we have Colin Miller to put in or something…. 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

  18. I'll support this team & be a fan no matter what happens. I really want our team to tank next season/increase our chances/give whatever we can (except Vilardi & Rutger) to get Michael Misa in the 2025 draft. He's a generational talent that will put butts in the seats & win us championships for 10 – 15 years down the line. I'd be willing to sacrifice 1 season if it means being a dynasty for 10 – 15 years. Get a real coach & personal for Misa too like Joe McDonell from the Dallas Stars to be our GM & Marc Savard as our coach.

  19. Respectfully disagree with the notion that coaching is the problem. Certainly the special teams coaching needs to improve but the problem with the Jets, in my opinion, is the lack of character on the roster. Bowness is yet another successful respected coach who couldn't figure put how to get his team to care. I see zero fire not one player spitting fire and challenging his mates to be better. So they won't be better. Agree Bowness will mot return mutual parting of the ways and I am sure he will take the high road. Hope Berube is available. Just to see the reaction from guys like 55, 81 & 27

  20. Forwards need to help out the D! Hard back to help shutdown the rush, provide support, then hard up the ice again with possession! Look like a bunch of rec league players waiting for their dads to shout what to do from the stands

  21. Did anybody see Lowry line Makar up and NOT MAKE THE HIT???? something's wonky here…. the sad reality for Jets fans is TNT/TBS/ESPN/ABC in USA lose millions if Winnipeg takes an american team's spot in the second round…sportsnet would be happy with Oilers/Canucks. At this stage, I think it's more likely Winnipeg is playing to lose. Look at the replays from Game 1 when Winnipeg was playing to win compared to now. It's a business, and players do not make $ winning this time of year, broadcasters do. There's nothing else that makes sense to me

  22. The 9:30pm start on Tuesday is just a slap to the face. Who tf would stay up and watch the Jets lose live or on t.v.? It's a formality that unfortunately is going to happen. I expect the Avs to use the whiteout crowd as fuel and dismantle the Jets and send a message to Dallas/Vegas.

    Not obviously an Avs fan.

  23. Simple, team isn't built for playoffs and coach is playing checkers. Too small and big names are invisible. 3 games going down in the 2nd period and there's no resolve to chip away. I'm probably not even going to watch tomorrow and I'm not a fair weather, 😡😡.

  24. It’s a mix of bad coaching and players not executing. But it starts with the coaches, bad coaching leads to players executing the system bad

  25. The unwillingness to change it up. Same lines, same sunburnt goalie, same results. Put some players in there that would add a spark, Perfetti would be a good start.

Back up the Brinks truck and get Berube.

  26. Since when does a system that gets you to 4th best record in the entire league also equal the reason the team is absolutely terrible? It doesnt. A team being absolutely terrible is what happens when you abandon your system
