  1. I heard he's not hurt, maybe tired? He's playing like he's hurt or tired or both. LOL.

  2. He has always had a wrist problem I remember the last time he was hurt he was afraid to shoot to.

  3. How could you compare him with guys who got over 100 points and 60 goals and pretty much dominate players. Petey is none of those. Not even close right now. He showed he could be before, but right now and for the past few months, hell no.

  4. He needs to get his weight up in the off season. He's to small and gets bullied on the ice.

  5. well this basically all started after he signed the huge contract. We got another Marner on our hands for another 8 years.

  6. He's gotta stand up for himself when he gets bowled over during that Preds goal celebration.

  7. You want a talented undersized(getzky like)Swede to lead the scoring, give him some protection.I think they have allowed him to be beaten so much there is little will left in Petey to show his magic and thats not likely to change through the playoffs.Sit him for Podzy and next year find him a Semenko type.Dont waste him,we have seen him produce at an incredible rate before. This isnt his failing alone, build around him, everyone could see this was going to happen to him.The incredibly stupid move was to strip 11 mil.from the budget and then hang him out to dry!Could have perhaps resigned him cheap after brutally crushing his spirit over the playoffs.Rather than investing in size and grit we chose to rent a skilled defensive player. That will cost some skilled offense and that is not Peteys fault and anyone who has watched him knows he is doing what he can to help his team.Go Canucks!

  8. Nothing is wrong with….. he cashes that 200k a week cheque without any problems….. ask yourself ….. would any GM trade a superstar with equal pay for this lazy POS?….yeah I don’t think so either

  9. Soft regular season PP merchant who makes nobody around him better. Just doesn't make plays like Miller.

  10. Complete Cr*p from the poster. Pettersson is not generating offense because he has no top six players on his line… no one who can pass the puck or be a playmaker with him. Since Kuzmenko was removed from his line, he has had no one who is a genuine top six player. Supposedly Kuzmenko was traded for Lindholm to give Pettersson a defensively responsible top six player for him to play with, but Lindholm has only played a couple games with Petey. Now Lindholm is on the third line… what's a top six player doing on the third line? Miller has had Boeser with him all year… Boeser is a genuine top six player who can generate offense either as a shooter or as a passer. Without him, Miller is nowhere near as effective. Tocchet is so obsessed with defensive matchups he's wasting Lindholm… a genuine scorer and playmaker, in a checking role. When Kuzmenko was yanked from Pettersson's line, at the 20 game mark, Pettersson was leading the league with 30 points, on a 120 point pace. Kuzmenko was replaced with various 4th liners and then finally Hoglander. Hogs is a shooter… he is not a passer or playmaker. So Hogs benefitted from playing with Pettersson by being the recipient of lots passes and scored goals… but he sent nothing back. Now we're in the playoffs, Hogs is out of his depth and Pettersson is left with trying to set up Mikheyev, who can't put a puck in the back of the net if he tried. Tocchet needs to get his head on straight and put Lindholm with Pettersson.

  11. I hope the Canucks win this series but let’s be honest, their best hope for next round is to be competitive and not get embarrassed.

  12. He needs a serviceable scoring winger like Toffoli to play with him. He cannot drive the entire 2nd line alone.

  13. I have a pretty good guess as to what’s wrong with him. It’s this bloody market! He said that he wanted to wait for the end of the season to sign his new contract. As he knew it would be a monster contract! Signing it in the off season would give him time to reconcile with the fact that he’s the highest paid canuck in history. And could give him time to celebrate, and wrap his head around landing such a monster contract. Instead, this bloody market couldn’t leave him alone, and pressured him to sign a contract mid season. What we’re seeing now is him trying to play hockey AND settle into the idea of his new situation. It’s pressure on top of pressure. And toss the nhl playoff on top. That’s more pressure. Now everyone is down his throat wondering what’s wrong with him, adding yet more pressure! This market is toxic.
