  1. The [Hockey Prospecting](https://hockeyprospecting.com) model is based solely on point production so obviously take it with a grain of salt as it doesn’t consider everything about a prospect, but I think the historical results are pretty positive so this is great to see! Especially when we know we’re about to another prospect with star power and hopefully another Moore/Nazar level player in just a few months through the 1st round of the 2024 draft alone.

Goaltending is fairly criticized but hard to be too worried about that at this point lol

Brief summary of what the model strives to acheive:

    > *Hockey Prospecting standardizes player scoring across the board and uses historical performances to chart how prospects will perform in the NHL. Our model removes intangible biases such as age, size, league, position and nationality. We do this by putting all players on the same playing field, based on their offensive production. Too often a player’s size, age or background is held against them. Not here.*

  2. [Bryon’s notes](https://twitter.com/ByronMBader/status/1786435927847616851) on the Blackhawks’ system:

    > ***Top 5 Prospects: Connor Bedard, Kevin Korchinski, Lucas Reichel, Frank Nazar and Oliver Moore***

    > *Chicago’s system has been quickly building over the last 2-3 years. Their system was of course springboarded forward when they were awarded the first pick of the 2023 draft and got sensation Connor Bedard, who is already trending to be a superstar in the NHL.*

    > *Their top prospect pool which includes Bedard (until he passes 100 games), Korchinski, Reichel, Nazar and Moore is one of the best in the NHL and has significant star power to it. There’s probably at least 2 future stars in it (Bedard and Korchinski or Reichel would be my guess).*

    > *The depth of the pool is building and they’ll likely to add many more pieces with some NHL potential this upcoming draft.*

If we win the lottery again it would be insane. NHL would lose their minds. celebrini along with the 20th overall pick.

Hawks will back in the thick of it before you know it.

Maybe I’m being too much of a homer but 25th for goalie rank??? HUH???

Commesso looks solid, stauber could still become something and has looked good in limited action, gajan is young and didn’t have a fantastic year but 25th seems incredibly low.

Flyers #1 and Blue Jackets #2 in goaltending prospects?? Where? Lol. I do know Philly just got 3 goaltenders to North America but that’s just it they haven’t done anything in North America. Hell Zavragin didn’t even play KHL. Ivanov/Greaves for CBJ. Greaves ain’t ready yet.

I wonder if Hawks could grab Dustin Wolf from Calgary since they’re entering a rebuild.
