Their comments on the 1-3-1 are very telling. It’s an outdated system that doesn’t maximize the skill and creativity of our best players. It was fine a few years ago when we were rebuilding and didn’t have the pieces we have now. Presently constructed, it’s effective at times, but like Fiala alluded to, once teams like EDM figure it out we’re toast.
Hire someone that will get the most out of guys like Juice and Kev and let them do what they do best. They’re both point-per-game players even while running an offensively-limiting system for god sake. You can tell the players believe the pieces are in place but just need a bit more freedom offensively.
