No words. I really thought the Leafs had them by the balls. Oh well.

  2. coffeetilithirts

Get Matthews outta there. He doesn’t deserve this.

  3. I called it 6 days ago, the Leafs would get it to Game 7 and then lose. The NHL’s Dallas Cowboys, they rise so they can fall.

  4. Great job Boston. So many leafs fans are toxic assholes on reddit. Glad their mediocrity continues.

  5. Nice_Wolverine_4641

Imagine being down 3-1 coming back, leading in game 7 and then losing. It seems to happen a lot.

  6. Wulfgang_NSH

RIP. Legitimately feel bad for them at this point. Heck of a series.

  7. AngryAssyrian

As a Habs fan in Toronto who really hates the Leafs, I have to admit I actually felt really bad for Samsonov. Poor guy had to face an awkward bounce after their offence disappeared.

  8. Grrrrrrrt420

The league always unites on this national holiday. All jokes aside leaf’s played well

  9. Just needed a Game 7 against Boston this year! It’s nice from them to bring back nostalgia 🤗

  10. IllDisaster2262

Wake me up when the Leafs beat the bruins at game 7

  11. Olhapravocever

( ) See the Leafs lose again

( ) Bruins to be the only team ever to blow 2 back to back 3-1 series

    Tough call tonight

  12. Fabulous-Search-4165

Leafs have perfected the Art of Losing. Gotta respect that

  13. PEIBaked420

And this is to be a great day for many years to come 2067 is just around the corner what a great record for the Maple Laughs to hold 100 years and no cup!

  14. marmaladegrass

As a Leaf’s fan, I thank you for recognizing our day.

  15. Fabulous-Search-4165

An annual tradition. We get Valentines, Easter, Leafs Choke, Memorial Day, Independence day and so on. Life and its rituals

  16. Glorious goal by Pasta against Leafs’ bottom group. Oh whoops, that was Marner and Reilly he embarrassed, wasn’t it?

  17. They took it to OT on game 7 and both teams played just as hard. it came down to one single goal so no one can say Toronto got wrecked. Florida, do your thing.

  18. Leafs forced game 7 after being down 3-1, lost in OT of said Game 7 to the team that had more pts.

As happy as I am to see them lose , it was a toss-up series.

  19. NuffinSaid

I fucking called it that the Leafs would come back, take it to game 7 and then lose because they can’t let their fans off so easy as to losing it in 5. They have to maximize the pain

  20. RabidWolverine2021

Around here Leafs usually fall in autumn…in Toronto it’s early spring.

  21. Puzzleheaded-Ask9884

How many alternate dimensions would have to exist for the Leafs to win in one of them?

  22. zestfullybe

Mitchell Marner, get ready to learn Mormonese, buddy

  23. Beelzebub_86

Any good Leafs fan knew deep deep down in their hearts that this was the only way it could end. Almost score the game winner with less than a second in regulation, and have your heart ripped out less than 5 mins into OT.

    This is the way.

  24. I was at a game in Toronto this year and I asked a guy I was sitting next to “how far he thought they would go this year?” He said “All the way.” I wonder how he’s doing as much as I find it funny I also kind of feel bad because he was a real nice guy.

  25. Alternative_Let_8587

It seemed as though the Leafs just quit. Boston took the pace up a little bit and the Leafs failed to follow. That bespeaks a lack of heart and a lack of conditioning. The first rule of overtime hockey is « keep the puck in the opponents zone », they failed to obey that simple rule. I would have expected Tavares to have at least 5 or 6 pts, instead he had two, all series and tonight, when it counted 3 0 0. That’s sorta mediocre for a top pick with no cups. But then again, this is typical for the Leafs.

  26. the more important question is what’s Steve Dangle’s reaction to the Leaf’s elimination

  27. Cuisse_de_Grenouille

Legends says De Gaule cursed them during his visit at expo67 for the shits and giggles.

  28. throwmeaway_6996

We made 1959 live on once more and that’s more than enough for me.

(Not a fan of those days just Leafs haven’t been able to beat Bruins in the postseason since 1959.)

Someone better check how Dangle’s doing btw.
