  1. So for monahan and toffoli the habs got in total

    Pitlick
    HEineman
    1st rnd 2024 wnp
1st and 2025 (cgy or flo)
    Filip mesar (1st cgy 2022)
    Evgeny volokhin

    That's 3 1st rnd 😂😂😂😂 and a solid goalie prospect…

Both monahan and toffoli did not bring any MAJOR contribution to playoffs success…

Good job habs even tho we "lost" a 3rnd round in 2027…

  2. I can see the habs use the winnipeg pick to trade to around #15 if one of Catton, Sennecke or Connelly are still available. Getting Lindstrom and Catton or Sennecke would be wild.

  3. The average height the NHL has in 2024 is 6-1/ 197 pounds. Why would the Habs draft another shrimp, even if he can score points in the NCAA…. Vegas is 210 pounds average in weight. The HABS SHRIMPS….(UNDER 6-1) forwards are …….Caulfield 5-8/176 … RHP 5-9/184 … Farrell 5-9/175 … Gallagher 5-9/186 …Pitlick 5-10/168 … Gignac 5-11/170 … Guindon 5-10/170 …Mesar 5-10/174 … Maillet 5-10/185 … … Harris 5-11/189 … Kidney 6-0/183 … Roy 6-0/190 … Beck 6-0/191… Stephens 5-11/193 … Newhook 5-11/199 … White 5-11/191…

  4. That extra pick was a long shot at best anyway, and everyone knew it.

WPG pick will be better than 28th. Hurricanes, Rangers and Stars all finished higher in the standings than the Jets. Hurricanes and Rangers play each other in the 2nd round, so one will be knocked out, which will push the WPG pick to one spot better. If Dallas gets knocked out in the 2nd round by Colorado, then that would push the WPG pick another spot better. If all goes well, the pick could be a 26th pick. Not that much better, but 26 is better than 28, in fact it can't be 28th, just by the fact that Carolina and the Rangers play in the 2nd round. So it will be either 26th or 27th. Better than the 31st pick from Florida last year in any case.

  5. Habs never had Winnipeg's 3rd round pick in 2027 – they merely had the opportunity to acquire that pick (conditionally). You can't lose something that you never had

  6. The Jets are the team with the most regular season points to get eliminated in the first round, so their 1st round pick should be 24th, no? It won't be 28th.

  7. Dude! You seriously need to work on your titles on your videos. If you can’t then you should go work for a news agency.

  8. it is good that don't get that pick because if Winnipeg would have won the Stanley Cup then they would be picking 32nd in the first round instead of the current 29th. Winnipeg won the last 8 regular season games where they leaped to the the 4th position in points instead of 9th place, which changed the draft by 5 spots.

  9. Oh, c'mon man. I know which pick you're referring to, because frankly, it's the only one that they've "lost" in the last couple of weeks, and there was really never any chance that Montréal would own that pick, because to do so, the Jets would have to WIN THE STANLEY CUP. And while I submitted a flyer of a bracket that predicted just this, I knew that the odds were EXTREMELY small. So this isn't really "news" insofar as no Habs fan legitimately believed we'd own this pick.

More importantly, we need to talk about what the Habs GAINED by Winnipeg's early exit though. Because based on where the Jets ranked in the regular season, Montréal will be picking either 24th overall, or 23rd overall with the 1st-round pick they acquired from the Jets in the same trade (this depends entirely on who wins the Vegas-Dallas series – as Dallas were higher-ranked than Winnipeg, if they're eliminated, they would get the 24th overall pick, whereas if they win, Winnipeg is the highest-ranked of the eliminated teams, and their pick becomes 24th overall). The highest possible spot that this pick could've been was 21st overall (if the Rangers, Stars, Hurricanes AND Jets were eliminated); that was pretty unlikely, but keep in mind that if the Jets had won a couple series, that pick could have been as low as 30th overall, so having the opportunity for it to be 24th or 23rd is awesome (and most likely FAR more valuable than a 3rd-round pick, 3 years from now, which would necessarily come along with 32nd overall in the 2024 draft – the pick that would be given by the Jets to the Habs if they won the Stanley Cup).

  10. It’s more along the lines, Habs never gained an extra draft pick, but I don’t think any realistic Hab fan actually thought we were going to get that pick

  11. Trade both first round picks, see what's out there. After all we have 20 picks in the first six rounds this year n next.
20- 2 = 18 plus whatever they can manufacture!! For those two 2024 first round picks. Could it happen? Yes
