The only complaint I have about the Rangers so far is the play of Trouba. Way too many penalties. That flying elbow/header into the boards was ridiculous. If he connected that would've been a match penalty. I love me some hard hits, but he team captain shouldn't be doing that shit.

I'm a Canes fan and here's my take. Canes lack team toughness. Game 1 Rempe cross checks Staal ( wears the C)..then stares him down…Staal did nothing. The rest of his teammates did nothing. Svechnikov just isn't the player he was projected to be….he takes penalties like their giving away money in the penalty box. Necas…don't hit him…lord don't hit him. Anderson isn't the goalie that got them where they are. Let's be 100% honest. 6 years of making playoffs, 3 times getting out the 1st round….Any other coach in the league would be let go. This is a fact. I love my Canes but I've been watching hockey a long time and I can see their not going to the finals this season. I'll go as far to say the current team as is isn't going to win anything…Go Canes prove me wrong.

The fact that Laffy has emerged this year to become a legitimate weapon is a big deal for the Rangers. I also like a lot of what i see Cuylle and Kakko doing. Kakko has only scored one, but he's come really close and he's making plays and so is Cuylle. If we can get a goal out of that line every other game that will be a difference maker. the rangers are displaying a side to their game that i did not think they possessed.

Last night was the Igor show. I thought it was coincident when a former Rangers (Skjei) went to the box allowing the Rangers to go on a power play with a former Hurricane (Trocheck) finishing the game with a puck clean up for the win.
Man that MSG home crowd is something else. I'm putting that on my list for sure.
