Am I crazy to say that if the Leafs fired Keefe the Canes should fire Brind’Amour? Say what you want about the Leafs but they have actually drawn some real tough opponents in the first round (Boston and Tampa). The Canes played us twice, a weaker Bruins team and the Predators. They consistently came up empty when it mattered, against Tampa in 2021 and now twice against the Rags. It’s not that they aren’t playing well (which might be a reason Brind’Amour should stay) but they just can’t seem to be as dominant as they are in the regular season.
I really think Lane Lambert or Doug Weight would be a good fit for this team.
