You know what, I always admire how he responds after a game where he doesn't do well. I think the last game is the only time this year where he caused a loss and wasn't immediately available to the media. He immediately points that out, apologizes, and acknowledges that 90% of the issue was mental. If he does get going again, it's not going to be by ducking his head, trying not to think about what just happened, and ceding the starting spot to Pickard. I hope they do sit him for a game to give him a break, and after that, I hope he forces his way back in goal. He knows they need more from him. He's proven capable of stepping it up in the past. If he's going to break through and make it over the hump, now is the time.
Press conferences are easy, we need to see him produce on the ice. The time for talk came and went last offseason.

Skinner saying nothing he did wrong was technical is both concerning and revealing. His positioning in net is off, bad, at times. He also sometimes freezes and goes down early sometimes and then cannot track a pass across the ice, giving the other team wide open net goals. Boeser got one last night where Stu was no where close. There’s a lot of technical improvements he could make

Pressure is getting to him. Oilers no chance if they don’t play someone else immediately. The Canucks get 20 or more shots on goal, the Oilers will require 4 goals minimum, but probably 5. Season is done if Skinner starts game 4.
Its completely managements fault for not upgrading this position its not your fault your not a true starting goalie. Good luck in the future wont be this years playoffs

A common denominator for our goaltending woes has been our coach. I think, just like getting Coffey for our D-Core, we need a switch up there too.
Knoblauch is figuring out as to how he obtained the head coaching job. No coach at any competitive level survives having that BS goaltending.

I want Stu to become a franchise goalie, but some teams have some goalies number. I think Vancouver has Stus, but I think in 4/5 games he played well against LA. He has potential. Just need a new goalie coach who can properly develop Stu

Thanks stu for playing goaltender for us. A turnover by fogele, a man left wide open? tough to blame goalie for everything. Stu just needs to be average not spectacular for us. 😊. Pickard gets next one which is ok stu might need a rest then back to stu hes our goalie of the future.😊

Nucks fan here. Stu has great character and is a solid goalie. Is better well spoken then most nhl players and doesn’t curb under pressure like your coach kk. He did not deserve to be pulled at all – hope he plays next game. What a series this is!

What an outstanding guy! I am a Canucks fan, but can’t help but feel for him. He is laying it all out here quite honestly. Maybe a sports psychologist could help as I’m sure he is under tremendous pressure. Oilers don’t defend and the coach was already looking for a scapegoat after game 3.Maybe Oilers should rally around their goalie a bit a help him out. I still want Canuck to win in game 7, but I also want Skinner to be at his best when we beat Oilers.
