Honestly, I am a diehard Stars fan, and I know this is negative to say, but I have a feeling we are losing this in 7. It's just too perfect. We had the chance to sweep them, we should've swept them, and we let them back in. Whoever wins game 6 wins the series. If the Avs extend it, they win it in 7.

You know even though the avs hit the post and Mackinnon missed an empty net in game 3 I thought ottenger looked almost unbeatable in Colorado but in Dallas he looks so different.
Finishing off the Avalanche was never going to be that easy, but if we are going to finish them off we’ve gotta tighten up more; Otter wasn’t terrible and made some big stops but I’d say that 2nd Makar goal he’d definitely want back, we also need to do whatever we can to stay out of the box that is ultimately what killed us last night imo.
The D looked complacent. The McKinnon goal was tough to watch…just ask the four guys that were standing around watching
Otter just needs to shake off the loss and the D needs to not be complacent. We generated some good looks but we need to stay physical, if we put in a good bit more effort with our checks it was an easy win. But we let up in the 3rd period and allowed them to take control.

The Stars have to play game 6 like it’s 7. Hopefully Seguin and Rupe Hintz will be good enough to go on Friday night. They can’t let Cale Makar have any space to operate on the ice 🧊 that goal should not have happened Oettinger had to make that save.

It's hard to win 4 straight against any team, much less the Avs. I'm glad that Game 6 is in Dever. The boys will be able to hunker down an focus on getting the W. Stars in 6!
Refs need to catch the egregious picks when the Avs are in our zone. Those need to be called. Good game though!
The 3 Avs goals in the 3rd period were all 5v5. Had nothing to do with special teams.
I really hope Seguin is okay to continue. I hope we get and update on Seguin and Hintz today. We need them both in Denver. As for last nights game, we gotta stop letting this happen and in our building. We are by far the better team. Avs keep waiting until the 3rd period of games to show up to the game and they keep finding a way to either catch up or catch us slipping up (game 1 and 2). This was game 5 and the first time they’ve gotten and held a lead. We are the better team. We can shut them down in their building but we have to come out swinging and keep pressuring Mackinnon,Makar and Lehkonen line every time they’re on the ice. They rely too heavily on these three guys to carry the team. And when they’re together they find a way to produce most of the time. They’re down one of their key PWF and we need to take advantage of that. Im not worried about EDM or VAN. We can potentially sweep them both regardless but a few days of rest is probably needed for us. We just gotta shut this down in game 6. Do not give up a series lead and let them force a game 7.
What was it everyone was saying? Stars for the Avs needed to shine? They did. Also, Bednar rolled his 3rd and 4th lines more than he had in a while. Those two lines are animals that Bednar just points in a direction and hopes for the best.

Disappointed but not surprised. The Avs are good, and this was never going to be easy. Ya got two more chances to win a game and move on. Would be great to get it done tomorrow and be done with it.
Been an off series for the Avs. Obviously the Nuke issue all but guaranteed a loss in game 4 I think if that didn’t happen Avs probably win that game.
