Well, Shannon…At least you're still in the money for the Western Conference exacta…C'mon, now. Boston fans and their teams are notoriously churlish. Going way back to the 1975 NBA Playoffs (Finals?) when the Garden fans stormed the court 2 seconds too early, then tore the place up when security drove them off to finish the game, to the time when Mike "Motormouth" Milbury beat a fan with a shoe, there is a legacy of disgrace in Beantown, and a collective sense of militant martyrdom about them. Strange, because as I've said before, I really like the city itself. What surprises me though, is Vancouver. I'm not impressed with the comportment of Canuck fans, who are acting the same way. I'm pulling for their team, but I'm no fan of the fans. Perhaps it's not so much of a wonder these two fanbases hate each other so much – they seem to be bi-coastal, bi-national mirror reflections of each other – wealthy, otherwise dignified, and culturally prominent cities, with nasty dispositioned sports fans…It's a shame…As for FLA-NYR, that series will be all about physicality…

I gotta agree the better team won. Was there slight hope they would bring it back and at least have a 7th game…sure. The only thing I have to say about this game is Swayman deserved a better fate. I don't wanna say he "cost" them the game because…duh, he didn't. But that last goal was definitely one you'd like a save. And I only say that because of how out his mind he played all playoffs. I just wish if they had lost it woulda been on a crazy snipe or tick tac toe type deal. I hope Swayman doesn't beat himself up over that one or blame himself for the teams fate. Jim Montgomery said it best after the game. You can't win every game in the playoffs 2-1. Number 1 center is a must this offseason. I just hope it's not at the cost of Ullmark. See you in October B's

Swapping blown 3-1 leads in back to back years would have been pretty cool. Props to Boston for making it much further than most expected with probably the shallowest center depth in the league. Hard fought.
Tightest playoffs ever?
I understand why people are complaining about the officiating. But as a Bruins fan, you cannot blame the series loss on it. This team has had some major flaws all season. They've rarely been able to play a full 60 minutes, and some games they just didn't show up at all. There are more problems, but those are major ones that proved to be costly in the playoffs. Florida absolutely deserved this win. Swayman can only put the team on his back for so long.

There's gotta be something poetic there. After being such a wall for the Bruins and almost single-handedly carrying them through a few games, the shot that finally gets by Swayman to end it is one of the flukiest stinkers ever.

Bruins got much further than expected after Kreji and Bergeron's departure. Not bad at all for a rebuilding year. The B's problem was their discipline: Not their lack of it. The surprise of these playoffs is going to be vengeance of the cardiac teams (Rangers and Canucks) when they make the finals, and mess up almost everyone's brackets. Florida counts on themselves being the most unpredictable team on the ice. They'll have trouble with NYR; Lord help them if they meet Van.
This is good final 4 teams since none of them has won the cup in this century yet.

Boston had one player, Swayman. Almost stole the entire series on his own. I was getting more and more nervous with each game and each save. I was saving my lucky charm for game 7, looks like I get to save it for the Rangers series. Good news, Dallas won. Now to see what Vancouver does.
