I stand by Outlaws being the best option. I also think it’s super easy to build a good brand around.
But this mockup is amazing (love the “defend the den” as well)
They were all pretty bad from what I can remember. Not being memorable is almost worse than being bad though

Terrible. It’s like a jab at Arizona fans that like the Diamondbacks. “Oh you miss your hockey team? We will just name it similarly to another pro sports team you guys like”
I like the snake head but it looks more like a shoulder patch. Like something is missing. A coiled snake with this head might have been better. The head looks really cool though.
Venom seems like a ECHL name to me.
Edit: I had to do the googles. The old Detroit Vipers from the IHL is what I was thinking of.

Personally I think Swarm or Mammoth are the best options.

The colors are good but the snake head logo is too static. It needs to have more motion, like a striking snake or at least with the mouth open, fangs out, tongue visible, something to suggest a dynamic attack.
Looks like a roller coaster brand. Busch Gardens newest family scary drop.
