I love how the PA guy plays Bruce as soon as the goal is scored. What a memory.
I was hit with a bit of food poisoning that day… so I was uncomfy on the couch the whole game.. and when Kopi had that break away.. Ron Hextall in his box and I, on my couch both stood up and said “c’mon Kopi” and then my tummy didn’t hurt so much
I was reminded of this particular goal when Kopitar scored the OT game-winner in Game 2 in Edmonton this season. Of course, this goal (2012) was on a much bigger stage.
Such an iconic call from Doc too, I will hear that goal in my head forever
