I do not like Florida ( it is a Lightning thing), but from what I have seen of Dallas and Edmonton, I do not think either of them can hang with Florida. Projection=Florida in 5. You heard it here first. 😮

I think the "Presidents' Trophy curse" should only apply to teams that get knocked out before the conference finals. Especially if the team wins at least 2 games in said conference finals.

Panthers played great the two things to think of are their shot volume which presents a bad matchup for the oilers if oilers make it but cats have a bad finals history they got waxed by the Avs in 96 and Vegas last year
No one’s been able to figure out the Panthers formula they make you play their slow paced gritty game all of the 2nd and 3rd complete no shows from the NY offense

If someone only watched THG they would think that Edmonton had already advanced to the final. Dallas could win 2 in a row. The oilers did do it in round 2, so it's far from impossible. NYR yes are eliminated but the Stars not so much. I find the pessmism mildy entertaining stars fans whats your take?

Thnx Ranger guys for the season and the playoff run. I am sad it did not go till the end. If Panthers are a better team and the Rangers could compete with any other team in the league then yeah, either most other teams are bad or the Panthers are really really good. I think it is actually a little bit of both. Some guys in the team are now entering their post prime years and some moves should be done by the GM. They need more fire that Laff had. None the less, great season, great run, go get some rest.

Would have been a 4-0 without Shesterkin. Panthers looked like a completely dominant team 2/3 periods each game. They’ve been the best team in the league for a few years now.

Tampa gave up 14 goals to Florida, not including three unprotected. And that's in five games. The best teams in the league are in the Atlantic!

Panthers played a playoff game from start to finish for the first time in this series. I go back to game 2 and can't figure out why they refused to try to score at all when it was tied. Igor was great. Igor also took a few cheap shots in the series. That chant was a response to be his hits on Panthers, not just that one on Rodriguez that night. Its part of the game, its part of the playoffs. Also noticed there was a lack of NY Rangers fan at game 6. Suddenly they stopped buying up all the tickets when they realized it was over. Glad the Panthers won. Even more glad they took out Boston and NY. Panthers didn't do too much pushing and shoving against the Rangers. I think they didn't want to get them excited and they respect them more then Tampa or Boston. At least it wasn't an Eastern Conference sweep like last year.
last 30 years of cups team comprised of 12 teams from the old Southleast division(40%). 7 of those being FL teams(23%). Too bad Winnipeg didn't get out of the first round. I still consider them the Atlanta Thrashers.
