Something to keep an eye on. I would not be surprised at all if Briere is pushing hard here.
I don’t know much about Necas and haven’t been paying attention to the other threads. Can someone tell me how to feel about this? Thanks

I would love Necas. If I’m Briere, I’m trying to get a deal done that swaps him and Farabee. We get the better player who will be more expensive, they replace Necas with another top 6 wing who has some cost control for a couple more years.
When’s the last time a trade happened during the playoffs.
I don’t feel like paying the house for this dude. I know he is good but at the same time he is surrounded by super talent and depth there in comparison to us. It’s like how Deangelo looks decent with them as well…
I like Necas a lot. I think Danny B will definitely be interested in acquiring Marty Necas. It just depends on what trade assets Carolina is seeking.

This is absolutely NOT the guy for the Flyers.
The Flyers aren’t close enough to start moving assets for players. Stick to the plan, build through the draft.
Even if he was the absolute perfect piece we need, there are other teams far more desperate and willing to pay more than we should even consider.

I thought the Necas rumor was Necas and Jesper Fast for Morgan Frost the Flyers late 1st round pick.
Honestly, I’d rather the Flyers just move Laughton to Buffalo for Peyton Krebs and then worry about clearing more salary from the books.
