>**Q: In terms of the unrestricted free agents, you have already stated that Denis Gurianov is most likely not coming back. The same with Marc Staal. Do you see defenseman Erik Johnson fitting in with this team next year?**
> A: Yeah, very much. We’re not going to bring Marc back. Marc is going to move on and it was a tough situation last year away from his family. We liked what he brought. The development of guys like Travis Sanheim and Cam York and Zamula, not that it’s all on Marc Staal, but he had a role to play in that. With Jamie Drysdale now added to that mix, possibly Ginning, Emil Andrae, it’d be important to find someone like that in that role. **And now that we know Erik — I mean, I knew him before because I played with him (in Colorado), know the type of person he is and the type of leader. So we’d like very much to bring him back.**
Welp, so much for the hope that the Flyers wouldn’t be burning a roster spot on another horrific player next season.
That the Flyers continue to value obviously horrible players is a worrying trend.

I love how everyone has written off Bonk. Dude never gets mentioned by anyone.

Well by golly, yesterday it was arguing about the 6th defenseman on the team in Zamula, and now bringing back the 7th D man who is going to be brought into games to keep the young guys accountable is an issue. We’re gonna have to completely restart the rebuild now guys. These veterans blocking roster spots from fringe NHLers who benefit from more minutes in the AHL are getting out of hand. Briere is obviously not the right guy for this job with these dumb ass moves.

After drafting Michkov I trust anything Danny does. That move alone proves he has a different mindset than any other GM’s we’ve had recently. I’m just excited for the draft to see our two new shiny toys.
