Pourquoi les Sabres doivent ajouter un autre centre cet été

Scott Laughton des Flyers de Philadelphie est une option commerciale réaliste pour les Sabres.

  1. Sorry No interest in Patrick Kane at all. Adams said in his season ending presser that he is going after a 3rd line centre and a 4th line winger with some grit . Question is does Adam bring in a 3rd line veteran winger or does he give the spot to a prospect like Kulich, Rosen or Savoie .
3rd line centre, i love your Jenner idea but i doubt CBJ trades their Captain . Instead Id trade for Sam Bennett FLA who will be looking to dump salary to resign Reinhart and Montour. Id also look at Winnipeg, are they resigning Toffoli & Monahan, if so then trade for Cole Perfetti who can play either wing or 3rd line centre . If i was trading with Philly Id go after Morgan Frost and not Scott Laughton who I think at best is a 4th line centre.
4th line winger im looking at UFA Ryan Lomberg FLA, or Dakota Joshua Van.
Put either one of them with Greenway and Krebs ( i assume Adams is resigning him?) And you have a very good 4th line.
Lastly if Adams doesnt think any of his prospects are ready the 3rd line winger spot then I hope he looks at Jake Debrusk Boston who is UFA.
    Thanks for the video.
PS , question do you think Adams brings in a veteran D man( UFA Tanev Dallas or Pesce Carolina) to partner Owen Power or is he going with Sammuelsson on the left side and Power on the right side?

  2. Here's the consensus: changes are necessary! Last year's bottom 6 was possibly the worst in the league. In addition, the Sabres have the softest "big" guys in Tage, Greenway, Power, and Tuch. They need more real size, grit, and toughness. Nobody in Rochester is ready to fill those roles. Kevyn Adams has got to change his mindset that small skilled guys can win the Stanley Cup.

  3. I appreciate the realism with signings and trades, Lance. A lot of people tend to forget that anything involving trades or signings requires two sides; the team and the player. Right now, the ladder isn't really interested in comparison to the former. Unless they want to sink more awful contract terms down the organizations throat.

  4. May be realistic, I just don't think Laughton is good. If you compare him to the third line centers on the playoff teams, he's on the low end if not the worst. That's our competition. I just don't think he's good enough to make a difference.

  5. They wouldn’t have had to add another center if Adams would have simply not traded Middlestadt.

  6. Along with another person posting here, I, too, question the Mittelstadt trade. The Sabres should have kept him, and prioritized offloading Skinner.

I actually like Skinner, but Buffalo won’t be able to carry his contract much longer. What about sending Skinner to a 3rd party with cap space (Utah, Chicago), and that team flipping Skinner was massive retention to Carolina for Necas? Now that Guentzel doesn’t look to be resigning with them, maybe Carolina would be interested if Skinner if he cost only $5 min or so.
