[Russo] Un #mnwild en attente d’UFA qui sera commercialisé dans une semaine à partir d’aujourd’hui est Dakota Mermis. Il a adoré ses 4 années au sein de l’organisation, mais après 47 matchs la saison dernière, il a gagné le droit de poursuivre un contrat à sens unique en agence libre. MN a 7 D verrouillés, il ne peut donc pas offrir cette situation de plafond/liste.

Solid depth D I wish him well to find that one way contract
When the Wild kept playing Merrill and Goligoski instead of Mermis it broke my brain, I’d take Mermis over either of them 10/10 times. I hope he finds an organization that gives him the time of day, he’s worth of a third pairing slot somewhere.
Wish him luck on his next team, but frankly I am pretty happy to see him gone. He just didn’t seem to fit in with anyone in our lineup and he struggled to make the correct reads for a vast majority of the season. Puck skills are solid, skating is fine, but the mental aspect is not where it needs to be for a depth player, he was far too erratic in his role when stability was all that was needed.
