    Love what Staios has done this offseason. Finally got a real top 10 starting goalie and then has prioritized the depth and actual construction of the roster instead of just throwing assets/money around at 1 big name player

    I don't understand why Ottawa trades Chychrun for an older defenseman with a similar salary and a mid round draft pick, then flips that mid round draft pick to ditch Mathieu Joseph's contract to sign Pinto. This is all ridiculously unintuitive.

    "He's staying in Tampa."

    Up is down, down is up. Nothing makes sense.

    Also, JBB is a marked man in Tampa. Opinion of him is definitely colored.

    Ottawa addressed their 2 biggest problems with offseason – stable goaltending, check. Stay at home right shot defenseman check. honestly with Sanderson and Chabot locked up, chykrun was spare parts. The deal made sense because now you have 2 top pairs with a puck moving defenseman and and a stay at home defenseman. Really like what staios has done this off season. He addressed the issues to a tee. As opposed to dorion who just brought in flash and pzazz

    Heddy would be a great captain for that team. In the bubble he was the captain on the ice for them. Every game you could see that and why I think he really deserved the Conn Smythe. Sucks Stamkos is gone but that team has fallen victim to the cap like all other great teams in the Cap era

    Ottawa straight up told Pinto… We'll sign u for 2 years at so and so because of ur lack of seasonal games u played. Prove to us ur a star under this new management and in 2 years, u'll get a much bigger contract with a long term attached to it. Sounds fair for both sides.

    I'm elated with what the Sens have done this off season. Liquidated unwanted assets, sign some good player. Got a great number 1 goalie and a good right handed, stay at home d man. This Pinto signing made my week, my favourite Sen.

    I still can't believe Stamkos will be wearing a Nashville sweater next season. Take care Captain, I can't wait for Tampa to hoist 91 in the rafters of Amalie. Happy Hedman extended, but still Stamkos gone is just tough to take.

    I haven’t been subbed too long but your ability to convey info and breakdown games has really helped me get back into Hockey and I usually don’t care about the FA because I just want to watch Hockey but you have me on the edge of my seat

    Pinto is a great 3rd line centre but a mediocre 2nd line centre in my opinion, unfortunately the Jake trade wasn’t great as they got an older and not as capable defensemen in return and Ottawa’s drafting in the first two rounds was very disappointing.
