This goal was huge. It not only won the series for the Kings, but it determined who was going to win the Cup. The Rangers were good but stood no chance against either the Kings or Blackhawks.
Ten years later Kings wins overtime but this time on regular season ended Blackhawks.

This goal might have prevented the Blackhawks from a 3-peat (Blackhawks won the cup in '13 and '15) which is almost unheard of in the NHL salary cap era.
