@Flames de Calgary

Honestly if he chooses this year to get better I’ll be kinda chuffed. We need our first round pick this year.

PPG has been all I wanted from him.

Next year we’re not gonna be great, but I’d be pretty alright if he puts up 70+ with a decent relative +/- and Corsi. In a perfect world, he’d build from there.

I’m still hoping he pulls a Bobrovski, where everyone bitches about his contract and sub par performance, then he goes off for a year and wins us a cup.

I just wanna do a pump and dump with this guy.

I think most would be thrilled with even just 70-75.

Really doubt he ever gets back to that though.

  7. LatinoBanana

if he leads the team in points with 70 ish points, that would be ideal

82 at a minimum. He’s making way too much money to be anything but a PPG player.

The worst thing he could actually do right now is perform. Just continue doing what you’re doing huby.

At this point there is no number.

The damage is done. The rebuild is on.

If he can be an impactful player in a few years when we’re trying to be competitive again, that would win me over.

Would be over the moon with 70. But with this roster, 60 maybe. 20 goals would be nice.

None waive his contract and take a 6 million pay cut

  13. Awkward-Ad8624

I would ease up on him if he managed to get at least 65 pts

One goal against the oilers (to make oilers miss playoffs by one point)

Folks, it don’t matter! Lower may honestly be better.

It would be hilariously on-brand for the Flames if he rounded back into form the year after the team committed to a rebuild and shipped out some of the biggest names on the roster. We have low expectations for this team but he leads them in scoring, drags this young team to the playoffs, only to experience an embarassing 1st round sweep and a missed opportunity at a high pick in the draft.

Management feels they are onto something, sign some overpriced vets to help make the push in the following season, everyone underperforms, Flames miss the playoffs, now there’s even more dead weight contracts on the books.

It’s such a classic Flames timeline I almost expect it to happen now.

I need 40 for him to win my heart because I want him to command our tank

I am curious with the very welcome departure of Savard as PP coach, how he will do there. 70 minimum, 50 assists.  Big ask at this point.  If he can’t consistently feed very capable finishers in Sharangovich and Kuzmenko, then he is cooked.

The going rate in free agency this year seems to be 100k per point.

    So 105 points I guess?

  20. 100 points so we can trade him for a haul, but we’d still bad enough that we get 1st overall is the dream
