Yes, it almost seems depens use the pp as a defensive situation, to use up 2 min not to give up a goal. Then, when they give up a shorty, all hell breaks out.

They need to work on consistency in goaltending and then work on the pp and pk
One thing that is interesting about Karlsson is that he has never been a big power play producer, for whatever reason. Only scoring 2 goals on the power play last season seems really low for him, but he only scored 11 power play goals over 5 seasons with San Jose (averaging 2.2 power play goals a season). Karlsson's career high in power play goals in a season is only 6 … and that came all the way back in 2014-15 with Ottawa when he was 24 years old. He isn't turning into Evan Bouchard next season … or even Sergei Gonchar, for that matter.

This was a good listen….I was left with being more in awe of Crosby…..it's incredible just what he did last season with little to not much help around him aside from Guentz…Rusty was good and played great, but it's hard for me to look at him but a version of Kunitz (without the physicality)….meaning not a first line winger……Gino dropped off a little last year….As a penguins fan, as a hockey fan, feel really grateful to see him play up close for so many years
Kind of hard to complain about Letang. He was relegated to the 2nd PP and they don't get the time the Ist unit does.

Letang is a real iability on the powerplay. He was on the ice for 6 shorties and 9 pp goals. I had to check the stats 3 times to see if i read it correctly because thats ludicrous .
