I’m going Mazur here. I think he’s got a little higher of a ceiling than Johansson (relative to where they COULD play in the lineup) and he’s also decently close to the NHL after a strong playoffs with GR.

  2. John-Balaya

Glad that Trey got the previous slot. Deserved. He should move higher once more guys listed above him graduate.

  3. Vast_Sandwich_5245

Buchelnikov has my vote until he gets seeded.

The top 6 matches my top 6 list, so I can’t complain there.

I think we’re entering a new tier of players here where certainty is a bit more important compared to overall upside. There’s some boom/bust guys still remaining like Buch/Soderblom/Buium/Wallinder. But overall Mazur/Johansson and even maybe Tuomisto seem more likely to provide an NHL impact right now.

  5. CD23tol

AlJo, Mazur, Buch those are probably my next 3

  6. I’m going Mazur, then Johansson. Hard to put anyone above AJ at this point, he will actually play NHL games this season.

Has Wallinder not been good? Seems like people were high on him at first, now it seems like I never see him mentioned as one of our better prospects.

There’s a noticeable drop after Augustine, and I think the next 5 in no particular order are Mazur, Wallinder, Buchelnikov, Al Johansson, and Buium

    Personally I like Mazur

Having scouted Finnish prospects for years, I know a lot about Tuomisto and what he could bring to Detroit, and I would say he is either the seventh or eighth best prospect. Mazur is probably seventh given how much he has improved, but Antti makes the top ten for sure as a great offensive defenseman that can lead through PP / PK minutes, as well as a decent slapshot and wrist shot from the point.

I’m interested where people are on Jesse Kiiskinen. I think he’s on the fringe of cracking this top 15 list… u/SimplySolace, could you add him to the poll options next?

AlJo! Love Mazur, but AlJo could be an elite OD. And he’s ready now for his shot. He gets the nod as he’s further ahead. Love Botha ceiling

Mazur is the most NHL ready at this point, but I’m going with Buchelnikov because I think he has a higher ceiling.
