Absolutely horrible, I knew a lot of people growing up who played with or against him and nothing but great things to say about the kid, Rest in peace.
Awful news for the hockey community. I played against him growing up kinda hits in a weird way. Prayers for the family. Truly tragic.
Both him and his brother? Absolutely tragic. My thoughts are with his family. So sad.
Tragic when you consider that he was only 31 years of age, in the prime of his career, with his sister due to be married within the weekend too and whom unthinkably has just lost 2 brothers at the same time. Unbelievably sad. My heart goes out to Johnny and Matthew’s families, his former teammates at Calgary and Boston College, his current ones at CBJ and the fans of those teams too. The whole hockey world is behind their family.
unreal. I can’t begin to imagine what their friends and family are going through right now. Just so sad
It’s difficult to put into words just how scary and sad a situation like this is. I hope his family and friends are able to find piece one day
