Really missing Walman right about now
Let's get real about Lyon, time to face the facts. He has won 3 of his last 17 games, he has averaged an .874 save % over that span, his most recent win he had an .810 save %. He didn't record a single win in the entire month of March last year, he lost 10 in a row from February 29th to March 30th. The game vs the Rangers the 1st goal by Lafreniere was very saveable, if that was Husso everyone would be saying it was his fault and he sucks. The 3rd goal off the faceoff Lyon was completely out to lunch, couldn't locate the puck or read the play, just stood there like a statue out of position and wasn't even screened. Why is this entire fanbase incredibly harsh on Husso even when the team is atrocious in front of him like the Penguins game and Lyon can do no wrong. Sick of the double standard. People act like Husso cost them the season last year and he only lost 5 games in regulation the whole year, he had a .949 save % vs Carolina and a .927 save % vs the Rangers in 2 of those losses.

Playing a good game doesn’t matter. The majority of opportunity they get lands on the stick of Copp, Ras, Motte, Veleno, and they just cannot finish. Copp and Ras are just so bad at finishing it’s unreal…Petry is trash. Holl was trash and probably still is but has been playing well. Brian…stop f***ing saying abysmal..
Honestly aren’t these concerns more like something that should be brought up in like 40 games not 3. Everyone with half a brain knew that beginning this season would be rough with that d core. Johansson has looked pretty good. Maybe give him more ice time over 30 games and see how it works out.
They have done this before just not as much pavel and burg used to split it , wings I don’t think ever seen them toss 3 A on the ice , but I think the issue they want Raymond and MO roll to Kinda take it permanently, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kane if he stays stay in rotation- but MO is the leader on the line I do think it’s time they gave it to him
As a Habs fan I remember when Petry was a legit top pair offensive defenseman. Absolutely loved him in his prime in Montreal. Happy he is closer to family now though and I know he's struggled since well his last year in Montreal but I'd love to see some kind of bounce back, such a great guy truly, amazing teammate, friend, father and husband from everything I have seen and heard.
I will agree with the finishing part. If all the players on Detroit could finish, then all those good teams that only have a great goalie to save them would be outscored every game by Detroit. You can't tell me the Rangers had highlight goals? But their goalie made alot of highlight saves.

I thought the purpose of wearing a letter was that player could discuss issues with the referee and team leadership. When I was young there were three forward lines therefore, one C and two A’s. Today running four lines maybe there should be one C and Three A’s. As I said in previous posts, it seems Lalonde is a coach that doesn’t want to offend anyone or hurt anyone’s feelings. Maybe that’s why he rotates the A.

If Chiarot/Seider, Edvinsson/Holl, and Maata/Johansson is working, don’t mess with it! It is entirely possible that age is catching up with Petry and that Gustoffsen’s PP1 isn’t worth his 5 on 5 failings

I think it’s clear that we shouldn’t read too much into roster moves this season. They are trying to maximize cap space for either the trade deadline or to be able to fit Patrick Kane’s performance bonuses on this year’s cap instead of next year’s cap.
