  1. Nylanders 1.1 seasons doesn't match what marner has done especially defensively and to be fair Tavares has always been better than Nylander until last season also.

  2. lol… if the ice was ONLY the offensive zone then sure, I'll go along with the warped idea that Nylander is our 2nd best player. The moment the puck is out of the offensive zone, Nylander is among the five WORST Leaf players. Not a single NHL coach who desperately WANTED to play Nylander in the middle could overlook his disrespectfully lazy attitude when it comes to hockey that's played in his own half of the rink….

And furthermore, where does one even get the gall to omit players like:

    1. Stolarz (as our current BEST player)
    2. Tanev (as our best overall Dman)
    3. OEL (as our ONLY reliable playmaker on the PP so far this season)
    4. And that's not even beginning to mention Marner/Matthews as being in a whole other league of skill than Nylander…

So can we cut the nonsense of trying to inflate the ego of a player who already thinks he actually deserves his top 10-NHL sized contract, his nonchalant attitude towards backchecking, and his ''Oh well better luck next time'' approach to being a responsible 2-way forward?

  3. Did we watch the same game? Nylander can only score when he is setup perfectly. He’s completely useless if he has the puck for more than one second.

  4. I love seeing the boomer uncles just go REEEEEEEEEEEEE when the reality of Nylander being better than Marner is spoken aloud!

  5. Everybody’s got a plan, till u get smacked in the mouth, bloody Columbus snake us in the mouth in the first period which Leafs did not recover, the same thing Leafs did against Tampa 🙄🤦‍♂️😤 typical Leafs beat the better team lose to the worse one 🙄🤦‍♂️😤 so frustrating and I know it was a b2b and 3rd choice netminder but it’s bloody Columbus they ain’t making the playoffs 🙄

  6. He’s the best play driver on the team. Nylander will give the other team headaches if you give him two ECHL line mates. Matthews and especially Marner need a surrounding.

  7. Matthew Knies earns under a million a year, but has out performed some of the highest earning players on the team.

  8. Wolls needs to get his arse on the ice and playing. Or send him to the minors for conditioning. Easy. Man up. Peace ✌️ 😎. O'dog on a diet lost some elbows. Hmm. Well done

  9. Perennial contenter to make the playoffs and get knocked out the 1st round. Their core Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares. are like 0.4 PPG in the playoffs through 50+ games played. That's like $44+ mill right there for not enough, who gives a @#$% about what they do in the regular season, most Leaf fans don't. It's all about the constant bed @#$%s in the playoffs every year and then talking ad nauseam on how they are going to be better. Rinse and repeat, been like 9 years now.
