The Rangers, Senators and Jets are all looking to make a deal for Pettersson. It will most likely take a first rounder and a player whom the Penguins can insert in the lineup right away so that leaves Stanley out. Considering Ottawa is likely to pick in the top 10 in the 2025 NHL draft I would say this is a big advantage. Pittsburgh I believe is just outside the top 10 for the draft. Winnipeg picks around 28th so that's not a great spot to be in. The Jets will have to give up something big and their first rounder in 2025 or 2026 to have a chance at locking in this trade. I do hope it gets done tbh.

A first round pick alone is going to be at the end of the round as the jets should be competing for the Cup and the jets dont have a 2nd round pick in 2025. Could the pens get Brayden Yager back? Maybe Brayden and a 3rd? Or Brayden and the 2nd round pick in 2026?
