Twitter : https://twitter.com/DeanerHd

I think millers injured, looked off to me
They benched miller! The coach said "I wanted to play people who were going to give us a chance"
I love the Canucks… but God they are infuriating
Thank you for the game recaps!!
preds are a bit underrated tbh
Honestly the Canucks looked better than NSH all game. They had far more high danger chances and expected goals. A bit of bad puck luck in all reality.
EP40 looked great again. Sherwood really is a standout worker, sorta like a mix of garlands drive and millers "heart-on-sleeves". Brannstrom looked great again.
Meanwhile:
Miller looked dazed and confused. Chirping his teammates while misplaying almost.
Kevin L really shouldn't have given up two of those goals. Demko would have saved them.
Myers/Soucy something has gotta get fixed. They don't work with Hughes/Hronek and they don't work together. Gongshow second blue line.
Also NSH was lowest in the NHL but they still have lots of talent.
Honestly this was to be excepted with no demko, now no boeser and somethings up with miller.
If they were fully healthy and playing like this then I'd be worried
I don't think the preds are as bad as they look. The should be a playoff team with that roster
last year is looking like a one off.
Experience 2024-2025 Canucks hockey.
Gotta have faith things can only get better
Canucks give up so many garbage goals infront of the net always clustered up leaving that one guy wide open.
I know Tocchet did well with the Canucks last year… but I'm starting to get tired of seeing the dump and chase. We have a lot of players who are chasing the puck after the dump in and that must be tiring. Why not give it to someone who will carry the puck into the zone rather than dump and risk 50/50 that they get it back.. If you look at it, the other teams already expect the dump in. We put in too much effort to get possession of the puck to end up just giving it back with a dump. This also includes changing lines, why not have someone hold onto the puck and then change as opposed to dump and change..
1) the preds are a much better team then the standings say. 2) petey is doing awesome and Miller is now the one taking his foot off the gass
stopped watching when you ripped on petterson. hes literally one of the only canucks who played great yesterday.
The Canucks took too many penalties and forgot thar Stamkos and Josi were scoring champs and trophy winners. That power play will be awesome if the new versions of this predator team plays like this for the rest of the season. With Forsberg being cold, it is time for them to be hot again. They have a chance to be 2019 St. Louis. Just watch.
the second pair of Myers and Soucy is atrocious and hurts us every single game. Miller has been brutal the last 10+ games, Lankinen starting to come back down to earth and no longer hiding how brutal our defence is. Debrusk isnt living up to his contract, Joshua doesnt look the same as last year (mind you hes only a few games in), PP is atrocious and takes soooo much momentum away when we dont capitalize. Signing Myers, Desharnais and Forbort instead of Zadorov was a HUGE mistake.

"I'm glad we are back on track" as we lose to the worst team in the league and the central division. Nashville. I can't take this team seriously. Nope. Dogshit D-core you can't change my mind.
I knew this team would be the start of the preds playing well lol
With all the injuries and ups and downs, it's even more important to cheer for our boys! 💚💙
I went to the Canucks vs Islanders game at Rogers Arena. Spent $710 for two seats, $70 on parking & $80 for food & beer! I'm sad to see my money go to pay for these high paid players who didn't bother to show up to play. Tocchets' apology to the fans like me didn't help or help the team. They barely beat Chicago with a 2-1 lead & 2 empty net goals. The Preds game was pathetic. I turned off the tv after 4-1. Every year, it's like Stockholm Syndrome, I come back for more abuse from my abusers!
Thank you for having the balls to give an honest and critical review of the Canucks' play thus far. There are many inconsistencies in both their individual and team games. They do not show the same individual and team commitment to executing the defensive and offensive systems that brought them success last year!? I am still trying to decide if this is a coaching or player lapse in execution and accountability? Thus far, The only bright spots seem to be the play of Hughes, Brannstrom, Garland, Sherwood, and Lankinen. Despite being benched for the latter part of this game, I am willing to give Miller a free pass because of how many times he carried the Canucks on his back last season and into the playoffs; he may simply be exhausted from shouldering the load. The bottom line, hockey is a team game- no one player or goalie, for that matter, can shoulder the load all by themselves. I think as Canucks fans, we are simply trying to get a sense of whether we still have a contending "team" or not?
Dean its the defense! 4 useless 6'5+ losers
1. Canucks can’t seem to get a consistent start this season.
2. First shot of the game comes 9 minutes into the game, that has to change.
3. No pressure for the opponent
4. They are still trying to find line combinations. Always changing lines can’t seem to build any type of chemistry between the players which goes on and on.
5. Coaches are terrible at changing the momentum by calling a timely time out.
But I have no doubt by the end of the season, we will be one of the top teams. ❤️
Every team looks terrible at times. Last year's success really ballooned people's expectations and so now reality looks frustrating. I think reality is this is a middle-of-the-pack team with high end talent but dotted with streaky players.
Just started going a little too late. I think there was solid performances from Petey, Sherwood, Raty, and Branstrom. Hughes was okay but you could tell he was getting too emotional. Just couldnt finesse this one and putting the breaks on in the second was the nail in the coffin. This loss hurt me more because i had hope all the way through we just couldnt do it. AND WHY ARE WE GIVING THE STAMKOS ALL THE ROOM IN THE WORLD ON THE PK. GET ON THE PUCK, GET IT OUT OF THE ZONE. WE ARE MAKING THEM LOOK LIKE A GREAT TEAM OUT THERE.
Ggs from a preds fans canucks fans. All love
Nucks fans chanting LETS GO PETEY show u how stupid their fan base is LOL
For some dumb reason, our boys enjoy the 5 hole even when the have top shelf wide open just asking to be scored on. Peety knows it, Miller knows it, the team knows it. What pisses me off as a fan is the plays of Myers and Soucy. Tochet can say all he wants that these two clowns just needs to keep scratching at it and eventually things will happen, but we all know that if you have an itch and you keep scratching that itch that soon it’ll bleed. Just like our defence it’s bleeding, and that itch is still there. Either fix the defensive core of these two salary cap sucking clowns or trade them with better defensive pairing. If you can’t get rid of them due to their context, then bench them like you did Miller for lack of production, or send them to Abbotsford where I’m sure they belong. Bring up the guys willing to bleed to play in the NHL. I’m sure giving them a chance will boost their confidence even if it’s a loss it’s to a bottom team, no egos hurt. But coz your main roster played, everyone’s getting an earful.
Maybe its only me but I'm loving the 4th line!!!!!!!
Can you take some time to highlight the lack of ticket sales this year? The price is too high and now they can’t seem to sell out either Vancouver or Abbotsford games on the weekend.
Miller is clearly injured, I dont ever recall a time the team has been losing and he put his foot on the breaks, its just not like him. IMO theyre keeping quiet about it so he doesnt get targeted.
Tyler Myers: he's a slow dump-in dump-out defenseman with low puck-handling skills who turns over the puck a lot and is a rare contributor offensively. Compare his play to Nikita Zadorov who was a big impact player for the Canucks last year both defensively and offensively every time he was on the ice. In the playoffs he had 4 goals and 4 assists in 13 games – Myers scored 5 goals all last season. The point here is that they let Zadorov walk because he wanted a 5 yr deal and they would only offer him 4, and instead they signed Myers to a 3 yr extension. Myers is big but he's not intimidating – Zadorov is a beast who plays hard and hits hard – I guess the thinking was why sign an impact player when for less you can sign a mediocre one.
Effort, or lack thereof.
This is by far the most maddening aspect of this team right now.
The will to win has to compensate for foundational weaknesses, ie; Myers, Soucy
And when that awesome energy is created, Myers & Soucy start to play better.
The overall sh*t effort of this team is the problem right now; and that's the coaches job to fix that sh*t
sherwood wiffing on the breakaway, leading to a nashville goal, is going to haunt his dreams
