Les Bruins licencient Montgomery et nomment Sacco comme remplaçant intérimaire

  1. It's everyone's fault except the old boy Bruins running the show, obviously.

  2. Id love to see what Poitras looks like between Pasta and Zacha, I think he's going to mature into a Krejci like player. He's great with the puck and is a facilitator.

Throw Lindholm between Marshy and Johnson and let them find their games together.

Move Coyle back to the third line between Frederick and Geekie/Merk

Reassemble the 4th line from the start of the year and turn them loose.

  3. Don Sweeney didn't replace key pieces when he needed to and now Montgomery pays the price. There's no question that the real problem is the roster management. This surely has to be Sweeney's last chance.

  4. taking firing sweeny off the table is not fair. maybe Marchand needs to lick them all? or at least threaten to?

  5. Another coach becomes the scapegoat of management. Fire the driver because he isn't winning the race with a Hyundai Sonata.

  6. Rough offseason from Sweeney. But I can't blame everything on Sweeney. Monty seems incapable of adjusting his coaching to match his current team so it doesn't make sense to keep him. He even went on TV to say he had no answers which basically was admitting defeat. Sure, you could wait until next year to fire him. But at this point, fire him and then move towards selling if nothing changes.

  7. i work in tourism in boston, and it used to be that i never had to check the Bs schedule, i just would see when there were lots of people wearing bruins gear. either the bruins haven’t had a home game in at least two weeks, or nobody wants to go see our disappointing team

  8. Coaches always pay for poor decisions made above them. Some coaching changes need to happen but this one’s just a move to make a move. La de da.

  9. He is a good coach, but as a Dallas Stars fan, I don’t feel badly for him. He let the Stars down badly by engaging in some personal misconduct that forced the team to force him out. We still don’t know what it was, to the Stars’ credit, but he let us down.

  10. Joe Sacco is… An interesting choice. Granted it was 10 years ago, but his time in Colorado was temulteous at best.

  11. I'm a longtime Bruins fan and am sorry to see Monty made the scapegoat for this train wreck. Paying Swagman all that money was a mistake. Thank you Hockey Guy for always bringing intelligent, thoughtful analysis of all things hockey.

  12. Asked Shannon on Hawks video why he says Richardson isn't supposed to juggle lines but here he says what was Montgomery supposed to do but juggle lines?

  13. The front office didn't exactly supply good ingredients…For starters….they got next to nothing in return for a Vezina winning goalie. Didn't keep winners like Bertuzzi and Debrusk. And so on.

  14. Orrr sway takes way less money and the can sign these people they needed. Its really simple. The downfall of these diva goalies is so satisfying. Igor and swayman downfall begins boys.

  15. I think if “let me know your thoughts, hit like and subscribe” was the drinking “word“ for the video, I’d be plastered about now. 😅😆

  16. Its more than a lack of talent. I watched the entire 96-97 bruins season. I pushed through the pain while they finished dead last. That team was easier to watch than this team, because they tried. They were often outmatched and under talented but still put in far more effort than this team ever does.

  17. Get ready for the scraps of the locker room to show face. They’ll be picked apart soon enough

  18. I’ve never been a fan of Sweeney as GM, same as Neely. Great players and Neely was my favorite player growing up but that front office isn’t something they are good at in my opinion.

  19. Problems in boston for sure. I'm not sure if i would say monty was the biggest problem. But eaither way he was the managments scape goat. I think they need to consider a rebuild roster soon.

  20. Long time B's fan….well said, many half-assed assesments out there, but yours IMO is solid. Sub

  21. The players should be ashamed of themselves for throwing coach under the bus. Get rid of them instead.

  22. Monty was a winning coach. So he took the fall for players who should have been fired in his stead. How about we fire Don Sweeney?

  23. This is NOT Monty's fault….this is SWEENEY, NEELY AND SWAYMAN'S FAULT!! The fact is Sweeney and Neely should've NEVER been dumb enough to allow Swayman to LIE TO THEM and convince them that HE was/is a number one guy!! HE ISN'T and the biggest/main reason he put up the stats he did was SOLELY BECAUSE HE HAD ULLMARK WITH HIM!!! Ullmark has PROVEN he can carry a team for an entire season, Sway NEVER has nor is he capable of it, at least not on this team!! They should've NEVER paid him ANYWHERE NEAR what he demanded! I've been saying it since last offseason. He IS A GREAT NUMBER 2 but he doesn't have NUMBER ONE STUFF….I mean hell, we don't even know if he's capable of physically playing for an entire season without missing time due to injuries. I flat out said MONTHS AND MONTHS ago….he's going to finish with an above 3.25 GAA and his SV% will be .900 OR BELOW!! I've watched this team for my entire almost 40 years of existence and the more things change, THE MORE THEY STAY THE SAME!!

  24. Sweeney and Neely have to go. They are pathetic. When they control rosters and all that then fire the coaches when the team under delivers is a joke.

  25. IMHO this is the 3rd mistake the front office made. 1) Fired Julien, 2) Fired Cassidy and 3) Fired Montgomery.
