  1. I think they have finally come to the realization that Scheifele he’s probably the worst face off man playing on a number one line in the league.

  2. Perfetti's lack of effort last night was pathetic. He let the Kings player walk right in and score with zero attempt to correct his horrible lack of compete in letting the guy skate right past him. Perfetti needs an attitude check or trade him. And Scheifele better not be playing in the 4 Nations Money Grab tournament that has destroyed the regular season schedule for the NHL.

  3. I guess it's about that time of year when Scheifles production drops and then team loses the motivation and they go into the dumps. Bit of a trend the last few years.

  4. Relax, how do you know Scheiffle's injury is prohibiting him from taking faceoffs? They're also in the middle of 4 games in 6 days. They looked a little tired. They'll be fine. Lighten up. Florida lost 4 straight, Dallas is in the dumps. It's not just the Jets.

  5. THE JETS NEED TO TRY VILARDI AT 2ND LINE CENTER. They need to see if he could be a fit there before trading any assets to acquire a 2nd line C. Obviously they'd have to wait until 55's hand/wrist issue is over. But Vilardi is a natural center & played C in LA several times. The reason he ended up on the wings was because they had to fit him back into the lineup after returning from constant injuries. Gabe isn't a one trick pony, but most of his goals happen in close in the crease area. Playing him at C would put him where he usually ends up anyway, in the middle. And 55's wrist/hand issue has also shown that he's a solid faceoff man. Namestnikov is a decent, versatile player, but sorry, the Jets aren't going to win big with him as our 2nd line C. Vilardi would fit well between 27 & 91 & bolster our 2nd line offence big time. I believe Niederreiter would be the best fit at 1st line RW. His skill is very underrated & he battles hard in all the hard areas, including in front of the net, where 13 usually ends up. Nino's grit would help maintain O-zone possession & make room for 55 & 81 while also providing much needed defensive ability to the top line. This might cause concern about disrupting the chemistry of our 3rd line, but if they can trust Namestnikov at #2 C then there's no reason he can't be trusted to hold down 3rd line LW. If he doesn't fit, then finding a #3 LW is far easier than finding a #2 C. The jets used (pissed away) a lot of assets on rentals last year & don't have as many to use this year & can't afford to part with the few decent prospects they posses. If the Jets are to win in the playoffs they're going to need another 2nd line center… again. They have to explore every option within the organization first before contemplating trades. So at least try this idea FFS!

  6. The top 2 lines have been miserable at generating offense 5-on-5 for the past 6 games or so. They are constantly getting hemmed in and out-chanced. And the main issue is that the top 2 lines have a lot of skill, but no physicality. They are terribly undersized upfront, and they don't possess anyone that can play with an edge. And in the playoffs, you need physicality to go hand-in-hand with skill.
