Je ne pensais pas qu’ils le feraient. Je pensais qu’ils n’étaient qu’une équipe d’un seul trio et d’un seul défenseur, mais les Oilers d’Edmonton m’ont prouvé le contraire ! Ils affronteront désormais les Panthers de la Floride lors de la finale de la Coupe Stanley 2024. Il s’agit de la première équipe canadienne à se rendre en finale depuis les Canadiens de Montréal en 2021 et les Canucks de Vancouver en 2011. Une équipe canadienne de la LNH n’a pas remporté la Coupe Stanley depuis 1993 (31 ans !). Voici ma réaction à tout cela. As much as I'd enjoy seeing Matthew Tkachuk bounced out of the SCF in 4 games, I doubt that will happen.
I still stand firm with my belief that conner McDavid wont win the cup.

No way Oilers can match Flordia Physically. Their defenae is going to have a huge probelm breaking the puck out.
The only way i see EDM winning is…
1. Drawing Pentatiles
2. Finding a like to matchup aginst barkov ( my guess is… Kane Holloway Fogele and tryto intitae physciality first… Then Conner or leon can matchup more agindt mattys line or their 3rd line which is just as good with lundell and lusto…) so pretty much matchups… not going to win them all but ahould win the more important one…. and if we talk about depth. FLA blows them out of the water
3. Gunna be a tough task to be a better tendy then bobz. FLA has better goalie, shouldnt be much to even devate about that
4. Even having a Perry McDavid RNH can work so that you have an enforcer/patrol just in case… goes with the matchup analysis but this has to do with being fist to intiate and to standup for players… NYR did not syand up for shit….
5. Last but not least…. your going to have to match the physciality by scaraf8cing some offesnse. Sure they most important point here is forcing them to take pentatiles… but last game you only had 10 shots. Make sure Fla feels your presence first. Get under their skin first.
This is more of a EDM ways to win….
But FLA is simple. Play your game, play as a team, and take no prisoners.

As an Oiler fan I felt like you did in 2011 in Canucks and Bruins. TBH I rooted for Canucks as Canada’s best hope but in my heart of hearts was not disappointed that Bruins Won.
I beleive that the team with the grreatest percentage of Canadian plays usually takes the cup. Both teams have shown skill,. Both teams have been supported by luck. But Edmonton has more Canadian players so I'll side with them.
