One of more interesting things about this team to watch this year will be when Ehlers gets traded, and to whom.
As much as I love 27 the reality is there's simply no room for him on this team after this season. Lambert, Yager, Barlow & Lucius will soon need spots in the lineup, plus Scheif, Perfetti, Connor & Vilardi likely aren't going anywhere. Odd man out is Ehlers (and Vladdy).
Hopefully the Grey Cup will be in the house on Nov 19.
Is there any chance that the Riders will be overconfident given their blowout win over the Leos last game, still think the Lions are a pushover and are really looking forwards to the final in Winnipeg? Can BC get that lucky? If so, Vernon Adams can capitalize with some early drives and points . Sask will try to keep VA in the pocket and limit his scrambling because they know he will be the key to BC winning with his play action abilities. And no more turnovers allowed please – is velcro on the ball and gloves legal in the CFL!? In any case, I noted in the Bomber v Alouettes game last week that Zach came out slinging the ball because the Bombers determined that they were going to have a tough time running the ball. BC's running game has not worked against the Riders and they will probably want to use the same approach to gain momentum early. Hard to call this game- if a high charged, emotional Lions show up, they could win this one. Go Lions!
