Great show guys. Gotta agree that Gaudette fit right in on the top line with Brady and Timmy. We should run with this and see where it goes.

Guys appreciate the show as always but – Brady saying zip it after one win and one goal? He also did take a penalty that lead to a Calgary goal. I just think it’s really rich to think that fans are being unfair for questioning Brady. I’m one of those fans and I have not been a fan of this player for two years now and I think I have a lot of evidence to support that position. I want the senators to win and because of the results I have concerns about Brady being the right fit for this club. He’s a great guy and it’s nothing personal but he clearly hasn’t found his best game here. Also, it’s one win, after a devastating five game losing streak and we’re saying “zip it” now? Come on…. I’ve said it for a long time – this fan base is giving this group far too much leeway. It’s playoffs or core devastation this year in my books. And every time Pillzy says that “you can’t trade Brady there’s no way that makes the team better” – actually it can…. If you get an equivalent player back that is more complimentary to our roster then you can make the team better. Sometimes all it takes is chemistry and a change of scenery. It has happened several times in the league before, blockbuster trades sometimes work out big time. We’ll see how well this episode ages during our western road trip. I can tell you right now the zip it talk ain’t gonna age well. I had to edit this as I got further into the episode because – seriously you’re disavowing fans that after 7 years of losing are saying ‘maybe this guy ain’t it’? Boys I gotta disagree with you here vehemently. I am a long time sens fan and have bought tickets for more than 20 years, the sens are not making the playoffs this year and are a sub 500 hockey club right now. To not question this core is insane – and Brady is part of that core. I don’t question his compete or emotions, the fighting criticism I don’t care about. There’s a big difference between Twitter trolls who aren’t sens fans dumping on Brady and die hard sens fans questioning whether this core is the right mix to win. The evidence right now is, they are not. So what pieces in the core can we consider? We all agree it’s not Tim Stutzle. So you’re left with Tkachuk, Batherson, Norris, Chabot and Sanderson. It’s perfectly fine to question each and every one of those guys and so we should. You guys are delusional coming out this strong today after one brutal win. I watched that game and the sens were terrible, we got 9 power plays and Calgary still almost made it an L! Forsberg saved our behinds in that game. I’d love this core to prove me wrong, Brady especially but I’m not holding my breath. I’m expecting a losing record on this western road trip.

Batherson’s and Chabot are no go’s trade wise. With Josh Norris’s form picking up, his contract looks less like a heavyweight around the team’s neck. Also with Josh’s injury record I think a trade would be great IF we can find the right piece to better improve our roster. Getting so tired of this Ullmark talk everywhere, sooooo much better than Forsberg, just needs the team to improve in front of him. He’s made some massive saves in pretty much every game he’s played. We all go on about needing this piece on the roster and a rocky start for a team that’s been shocking for years people are way too critical lol. As a side note, seen a few Sharks games this season and when they are on it they can cause problems for teams. The pace of them breaking out especially which is worrying as we don’t seem the best defensively at the moment. Great interview with Jake and show as always.
