The Leafs should put Mathews on LTIR, and bring him back for the playoffs. Let him get 100 percent healthy, and use the 13. 25 million that’s available to fortify their lineup. Kucherov 2.0
Keep Matthews out untill hes 100% even if it takes another LTIR placement or sitting him till playoffs start.
Haakanpaa i think is exactly where the leafs want him to be. I don't think they planned on having him for more than a dozen games during the regularseason, they wanted him for the 16 wins its going to take come playoffs.
If he can't play for the Leafs, then he can't play in the 4 Nations Face Off!!!!
Let Matthews play the 4 Nations, he will get re-injured and be out for the season.
Good news is he’s skating but I would honestly put him on LTIR use his 13 mill go get a real 3 C and a top 4 dman . Then matthews miracilousy comes back for playoffs . Kucherov 2.0
A 70% matthews is still getting a point a game . But obviously I’d rather him be 100%
Well…the 4 Nations dont pay his hefty salary, it should be the Leafs who are the first, and the major consideration
Get Schenn for Reilly, I am getting bored with this management and they’re not doing what is needed to do. Trade who you need to to get who you need and get on with the season. Players need to give at minimum 80 precent all the time but it should be 100 precent. They get the money give us the honey!!!!!
He is getting way to comfortable just taking games off. Some players enjoy not playing but love clooecting the paychecks. Seems he gets a hang nail he takes games off. I don't think he's built for the grind of playing center and should go back to wing where he focuses on scoring

I'm a leafs fan. I'm 100% not concerned about no matthews in the lineup. They have a long long history of thriving without him. Too bad he has a no trade clause. Only his rookie season has he played a whole season. He's glass, he's beyond Injury prone

teams will target his injury if teams give to many details out… especially in playoffs..upper or lower body is all people need to know…which even is saying a bit much..they should just say injured and thats it..when 100% will return..only reason oilers didnt win over panthers cuz mcdavid was hurt all series and every1 knew that paid attention closely
