Lindsay Middlebrook is a nice guy.
I met him several years ago when he was in charge of selling goaltending equipment for a store in St. Louis.
He helped me pick out all new gear, and even had Vaughn build a blocker for me from scratch because the pattern I wanted from the Vision line was three years old.

I would've included Doug Weight (Jochen Hecht, Jan Horacek and Marty Reasoner) and Ryan Smyth (Robert Nilsson, Alex Plante and Ryan O'Marra) in that "lost asset" category. Both were awful trades by Lowe. Smyth's trade was especially back breaking to this fan.

Takko started his SM-liiga career in Ässät during the 1978–79 season, and played there for seven seasons (1978–1985). Takko went to the NHL after the 1984–85 season. He was signed by the Minnesota North Stars, and played with them for a total of six seasons (1985–1991). During the 1990–91 season Takko was traded to the Edmonton Oilees for Bruce Bell, making it the "Takko Bell Trade" and played for the rest of his NHL career in Edmonton. After retiring from NHL play, he played nine more seasons in Europe.

After the 2005-2006 nhl season i remember many Saturday night's watching HNIC seeing the Oilers just get destroyed on home ice i remember a couple games against Chicago in particular where they got beat 9 to 2 or something on home ice. On another topic i do remember them almost moving the franchise to Houston back in the mid to late 90s thankfully they stayed.

The gear jersey logo was poor but the colours and layout were alright. That logo is a cartoon piece of paisley with childish, chunky trimmings in a bizarre foreshortened perspective. If you're in the Oilers fans circles, it's clear that the pajama jerseys with the thin vertical stripes up the sides are universally despised.

I remember going to one of the skills competitions in Edmonton. I had gotten a hat signed by Luke Gazdic and had been asked to trade my hat for another hat by a pair of girls. I'm pretty sure that hat had been signed by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

Oilers fan here and the orange jersey is absolutely terrible. Don't even get me started on the gear jersey that one was terrible too. The Oilers primary colour has always been blue. The 1980s/early 90s jerseys and the late 90s/mid 2000s blue and coppers were the best jerseys. Bring one of those back is what I say. I think most Oilers fans born before 2010 would agree. Why mess with something so beautiful.
It really annoyed me how quickly the Oilers gave up on Talbot right after his awesome season. He wasnt given any defensive coverage and couldn't bail them out so they traded him. Now the debate is whether Koskinen is good enough, stop trading good players after a blip.
