1. "McAvoy and zadorov decide to just skate into each other…
And then Jeremy decides to pass the puck directly to the Rangers"

    I can't stop laughing!
    Out loud!

Mike Millbury should've brought a shoe

I'm waiting for winter trade deadline –
    Hopefully it'll be interesting

Don is still shopping at Filene's basement!

Oh that line was such a great chuckle !
    😆
    Great recap.
    Thanks Court!

  2. I would love to know how many penalties pasta has taken for high sticking this year!
Zadorov for some reason wanted to play mcavoy’s position on the first goal, this is yet again an other example of Zadorov not understand the bruins system.
Swayman should have dumped the puck behind the net, but mcavoy loses his stick then just looks around.
Quick did show up to play for sure, he looked like the quick from his LA Kings time.

  3. Going into this season, it was presumed that EL and Pasta would click and become a poor mans version of draisaitl/mcdavid if they clicked. The idea was these 2 guys produce the bulk of the offense to take pressure off the other lines and allow them develop over time. It didn't happen and this is what you get. They need to call up the talented kids from Providence now and start trading guys like Coyle and Zacha and Frederick. Bs are not making the playoffs so give the kifs NHL ice time!!!

  4. I'm just counting the days when Charlie Coyle's contract runs out. This game he's been swapped with Pastrnak into the 2nd line and it's was clear that this line became invisible right after that move.
I don't think Coyle is a bad player at all but for many years I don't see him compatible with Bruins game plan.
This season he has 10 goals which is not bad at all but look at the number of his assists. Only 3 so far. He's good at holding the puck, carrying it behind the net, draining time off the board and then losing it. Which is a good thing when you're winning but not when you're not scoring.
I'd rather see him traded instead of Frederic.

  5. Anybody feel like McAvoy is just a mess? He looks completely out of place and surely doesn’t look a number one defender. He has been brutal to watch the last few games. Him and Carlo are a mess. Just so many odd man rushes. Scoring is a big issue don’t get me wrong but defense is terrible and so slow. That’s a big issue.

  6. its like the rangers aged 30 years in a few months time…..and the bruins still let them off the hook.

  7. I'm not impressed with Sacco. The lack of scoring is on the core players and the players making loads of money. They need to practice passing as it has been horrendous.

  8. Leave it to the B's to make a bad team look good. Very little physical play in this game. I want to like Frederic, and I thought his game last night was ok. He can't score and he's a -12. His trade value has to suck right now. He should be benched for a few games and bring up somebody, who can possibly help with the scoring. I lowered my expectations earlier in the season, but it still stinks to watch them lose to bad teams.

  9. I went into hockey withdrawals after last season ended. In sweeney i trust. Goodbye boqvist and debrusk and heinen. Hello fresh higher paid players long term. They must be real special i say to myself. I cannot wait to see them push their weight around. WRONG!!

  10. I'm going to stay optimistic. They need to hang in the playoff race and Swayman needs to get hot at playoff time and be like the Panthers (imagine saying that a couple years ago). I don't think they can solve the scoring problem until the PP gets on track. Not enough scoring talent/speed on the team for consistent 5 on 5 at this point. This can't be solved easily (see the NYR for the risk of trying to fix a problem quickly on the fly). Overall, they played really well for most of the game with the problem of the 10 minutes of bad play killing them this game.

  11. Someone suggested that the bruins could take one of their underperforming high salaried players and kneecap them in practice, put them on long term injured reserve and sign a scorer. Yipes!

  12. Bruins looked lost in the offensive zone. Too much over passing. Zadorov and McAvoy need to be split up.Their pairing at times this season looks like a clown show. Lohrei made a couple of bad decisions and we have to hope he learns from them as we go forward. I like the way he moves the puck. Swayman played ok but that pass to the Rangers player that ended up in the back of the net just can't happen. Again I thought we had too many players that were just not interested in competing.

  13. The MacAvoy, Swayman/Korpisalo tax is too high! It's costing them offense that is required to win a hockey game. Keep Joe Sacco and Marchand; look to move whomever you can for higher value. There are a lot of viewers across several forums saying the same thing- these guys are boring and not worth our time. Personally, I end up playing that noise in the background. Put simply, they don't deserve my energy. TBL will win the division. OTT will make the playoffs. And here comes MTL with a legitimate PP! 🤔

  14. Missed shots, they should each take a bucket of pucks during practice and shoot each one, they cannot leave the ice until all of the pucks are in the net. Swayman needs to work on his upper corners. Should just keep reminding him to keep his glove up

  15. Rangers fan here and to say the B's didnt have a good O game is just Ludicrous. Quick stole 2 pts plain and simple, it happens…….
Shesterkin being hurt is a blessing, hes been horrible lately……….LGR

  16. Doesn't anyone get the feeling that Don Weenie waited far too long to improve this team? How to stop the hemorhage ? The addition of Wahlstrom and earlier Johnson has been fruitless. A big transaction is needed such as two or three players must be shipped out immediately. At this point in the season the good teams have found their stride. There are several teams at the heel of the Bruins in the standings that are on the brink of passing them . The Bruins can fall close to the basement very soon. Presently the Bruins are an AHL team with NHL salaries. No talent, no heart , no execution. I occasionally look at videos from the past Bruins teams and the product we have today is too mediocre. Example : Go look at videos of Kyle McLaren and his famous hip checks. Nobody on the current Bruins plays like that. Time to clean house at management level.

  17. I'm so tired of watching this team. So tired of the management's shit culture…This team desperately needs infusion of offense. They need to call up Poitras to center Pastrnak and Geekie. They need to call up Lysell to wing with Marchand and Lindholm. Zacha and Coyle shift to 3rd line with Frederic. Whole team gets better. Not that hard to piece together…
