The Rangers/Canucks trade talks hit a snag. Canucks really want Schneider as part of the deal.
I don't think Mika is going anywhere i see reports the team has his back in all this , I think it's gonna be Schneider, vesey possibly borgen and some picks for JT Miller if it happens at all , something tells me it's gonna fall through it's taking too long.
The core has become stale so pieces need to moved around. I would play it this way. Trade some players for draft picks and prospects and trade a veteran for a veteran in other trades. That veteran player that I want is JT Miller. Kreider can be moved to a team like Boston for a first rounder and a prospect. In this plan pretty much no one is untouchable. Build the team up the middle. We're set in goal but need to upgrade on defense and center. As bad as Drury has been at least he's freed up valuable cap space lol.

JT-Mika trade only happens if Mika waives his no trade & he might do it rather than play for Laviolette. There is a history of players not wanting to play for Laviolette. I was steaming mad when Gorton threw JT into that trade with Tampa. Smoke was coming out of my ears & I was scrreaming FN Gorton!!!!! JT's problem in NY was that Vigneault played him on the wing and I kept insisting he was a center. Brian Boyle described JT as one of the best passers he ever played with. Virtually all Rangers fans at the time disagreed with me & insisted he should play wing. That would be a sweet trade if Drury can pull it off. Don't hold your breath though.
They better not include Schneider in a trade if there is one. K andre yes, but Schneids absolutely not. Also i would be okay if we waited until the offseason to move mika
Why would the Canucks trade for a bad contract that goes until 2030? Why would ANY team? Rangers will need to give more for another team to take this albatross contract. The Rangers are behind the eight ball here. THEY have ZERO leverage. And WHY would JT Miller want to go to the dumpster fire that is the NY Rangers? And if I were the GM of the incoming team I'd demand he get a F*cking haircut.
It sounds nice, but I think it's all just noise and rukors. Mika isn't going anywhere til 2030.
i don't get it. We moved JT Miller back when we did because he was a problem child. He remains a headcase half the time. the guy took a personal leave DURING the season because he can't get along with Peterson. So what are we doing? swap Sad Boi Mika for Mad Boi JT? Mika would do fine in Vancouver. In fact I think that team is set up better for him than we are. you bring JT Miller into our room in it's current state? yikes.

NYI are kicking the tires on pettersson and if they do a deal with them miller isn't going anywhere. if they are serious about miller they are going to have to come up with a better offer than zibnanjad. i know it's a starting point but i don't think that is even close to what it will take. miller brings more than a point a game, he will drop them with anybody and that kind of growl is hard to come by in a skilled player.
Perrault and this years first is the only untouchables on this team in my opinion.
But J.T wouldn't rock my boat. First of all I don't see that really changing the season.
secondly it will be yet another 30 + player on a team already sinking because of their other 30 + players…

No single trade is gonna cure the self inflicted gangrene infecting the Rangers.
One can say that, at least they made an effort to win the last three games.
But they still act like the opposing team's wearing "NO Contact" jerseys.
You almost never see opposing forwards driven onto the ice; instead they skate untouched until they score. The Eleven Million Dollar Man is taking another January off.

No one wants to trade with us because they don't want to import any of our problems into their locker rooms, it's not very hard to figure this out
Just the facts:
-JTM is a better player.
-JTM brings a physical and emotional intensity that MZ lacks.
-JTM has higher offensive upside.
-MZ's advanced stats suggest a sharper and sooner decline.
-JTM has a slightly cheaper cap hit.
-JTM chose to commit to Van, MZ didn't.
On what planet is Canucks management gonna ship out their best center for a disgruntled lost in the woods Swede on an awful contract?
Unless you can make a coherent argument for Vancouver's motivation, just stop.
