Feel like the defense has usually played better in front of Askarov. Hasn't been the case for every start as they weren't good against the Oilers who should have put up at least 5 goals in regulation if it wasn't for Askarov standing on his head. Vancouver might be another but that game just got away due to a 50/50 goal tender interference call say 50/50 because at this point nobody including the league has any clue how to call them seen much less result in no goals or much worse be good ones. So not getting that call then resulted in a PP and a goal followed by another goal right after. But other then that felt they were pretty solid in front of Askarov especially the last 2 nights against 2 of the better offenses in the league. Didn't give up that many great chances the last 2 with one of the best looks being something the Sharks couldn't control with a block shot going right to Palat.
Offenses still is a step behind what it was during the teams good stretch but think that is gonna be the case as long as Walman is out. As he has such a huge impact being one of if not the only guy on the blue line who can move the puck extremely well with both his skating and passing.
So happy that Brodie is still with the Sharks!!!!
Any chance the Sharks have you do a pre and post game show like you used to? The one you used to do on NBCS CA is really, really bad. I cannot even watch it anymore! Maybe stream it on the website? The new guys are a massive fail by NBC. From one Native of SJ to another, you are missed, glad we at least get this, it's just not long enough.
