Confidence game for Hildeby right there. The first goal had me worried, but he bounced back strong.
Michkov with the fancy spinarama attempt in overtime misses while covered by Rielly. Then stands flat footed at the leafs goal line and watches the puck and his guy Rielly go 200 feet to score on his team to lose. That’s why Torts sits him.
It looks like Hildeby has taken over the 3rd string keeper slot. He was mostly sharp tonight after letting in that 1st weak goal. Every NHL start for him gives him much needed experience and builds his confidence. He walked away from tonight's game with a W and a .938 save percentage added to his stat line which isn't too shabby.
