Ive been a fan of Lalonde these years, but the “trust the process” line reminds me of Blashills post game interviews. Unfortunately we need a change. This defense first game isn’t it.

The schedule is frustrating. Hate the way the schedule is. We used to play every other day. Now we don't. Guys can't get going, no repetition, play and wait, that isn't the way to do it. LGRW 🏒
This team CAN'T FINISH. we hit 3/4 posts, had a few mostly empty nets and whiffed them over the net. There was no shortage of opportunities. We controlled the pace and had chances. Big difference, the Rangers get a few decent chances, and they capitalize. Reminds me of Tampa, all they needed was a couple chances and a couple powerplays and they would take advantage. This wasn't like the past 4-5 games, where we got dominated in all aspects. This one hurt.

One of the most frustrating games of the season thus far…. Talk about snakebitten. Only Larkin and Cat have been shooting well, the rest need some serious practise.
I can't watch this anymore. Fire the coach and hire someone who knows how to lead men, this is not the guy. The team is talented, just not playing for Lalonde.
I’m convinced in practice they play post and the goalies just chill on the bench and watch. How else can we constantly be hitting the post?!

It seems they're feeling the weight as the Red Wings fans are. Detroit has tons of talent, but can't finish a game with a win. They can't score worth a farthing and much of the losses are from failed defensive zone breakdowns and inability to clear the puck from the zone. The laissez faire approach to coaching seems to be a bit of an infection right now, for many teams. Players who appeared slow and lethargic for one us last season and then are playing games of their careers for another team. Tarasenko has been a slug. Kane and DeBrincat are out of sync. Larkin, well, Dylan rocks. But one man can't win it all. They're not playing 60 mins. I will say that the dump and chase has been handled so much better. And WTF is it with aiming? Getting EVERYONE off the schneid! It seems every shot is made with the anticipation level of a first game rook, ringing iron wins not. I'm sure Lalonde is taking heat, but things have not changed.

I've never seen 14 players of an 18 man roster unable to produce a goal. I've never seen anything like this in my life and I just can't understand it. And still no adjustments to this system.
So tired of hearing “need to work on this” or “improve on this”…with exception of one line/pairing, this is essentially the same team as last year, how are we still talking about improving the same things?
