They were not undefeated, and I was shocked where Sweden fell, honestly. Finland almost won the game, it was much closer than it was expected, I believe, but thrilled the US won.
As a caps fan, super exciting to see Eriks Mateiko turning it up for Latvia in this tournament as well. Leonard and Hutson we already knew were going to be incredible but having our third rounder play that well was great. I saw him live in Ottawa for the Latvia vs Germany game, and he looks like his game could easily translate to the NHL. He’s another big guy like Protas but seems a little bit slimmer and silkier, even at 6”5.
