The team cant even make a pass in its current state. Everything is in the skates etc. Horrible puck management, can't skate it in and have to dump everything. If they do dump it in, its offsides by the dozen. Breakout passes and countless icings.
I know they were beaten up in St.Louis but this game felt way worse.
They looked slow and predictable. You could tell early that Luukkonen was controling rebounds yet Ottawa kept shooting from long range. Got to be better than that. GSG.
I agree with everything you guys said in this postcast. This game was embarrassing. Green needs to rewatch and re-evaluate that game. I don't blame him though, I always blame the players that look uninterested to compete. The stupid mistakes are back, and we can't score on top of that. Forsy had almost no chance on the 3 breakaways and it could have easily been a 6-0 game because he made a few real good saves. Chabot had a good interview, basically admitting they were horrible.
New coach
It boils down to making some moves that would help.Either JBD for Connor Murphy or Zub.Its time to evaluate who you are going to have as core players.Yakemchuk is another right shot so you could move Zub to Chicago.
Green has same systems as DJ smith. Defence first but they need a system that stays in the offensive zone. They are not the LA KINGS.

You're not going to win a lot of games only scoring 2 goals; Green idea of offence, and holding games to 2 or less is not working. What happens when the other guys score 2 goals in 2 periods? Or 3?
After the loss against Detroit I went back to my old grindstone of why Green dumped our most offensive pairings for lines he feels are more defensively reliable. As our coach has it drawn up, our current bottom two lines have only scored 2 5v5 goals playing together through out the entire season. Zero chemistry. It has to be noted that Amadio is the primary assister to our bottom 6 so depth offence is going to take a hit while he is out — but what the flipping-duck is he mixing the top two lines for? Josh Norris has only scored 3 times this season without G-Money or Batherson. He hasn't scored a goal 5v5 with any forward in Green's bottom 6 and besides one assist from Artem Zub he also doesn't have a goal with any of the bottom four defensemen 5v5 either… AND HE'S YOUR NUMBER TWO GOAL SCORER.
Our top two 5v5 goal scorers are Gaudette and Brady (10 & 7 goals respectively). Not only did Green split them up after they scored two goals together (with Timmy) in a single game but he also split them on the PPs. His weird game of burying our top players has go to go. Our best look of the night came from a pass from the point to Gaud on the bd — imagine if he was finishing Timmy and Brady plays instead of putting up weird minutes in Green's dog house. Invisible player? Every other forward on the team has taken PIMs since the last time Gaudette was in the box; he's had 3 penalties on the whole season… we're not going to win games if the Sens make it their identity to give the other team two power plays in the first, for free. Before tonight, Gaudette hadn't been scored on 17 games either–how defensive minded does a player have to be before coach stops slashing his minutes? I'm so flippin over whatever stupid shit Green might be carrying with him from Vancouver. Not to do tricks on it but Gaud has more 5v5 goals then Pinto and Greig combined and he has almost as many unassisted 5v5 goals as Greig does period.
Last I'll say on Green's offense is that his current lineup of forwards have only scored 15 goals 5v5 playing together (that's all four lines of players, at any point this season). Brady, Tim, Adam + Josh, Claude, Drake have scored 19 goals together 5v5 and that's only 2 lines. If you want to throw in their individual unassisted 5v5 goals those six players — playing together — have 24 goals even strength. It's stat magic, but it's all I have, but if we never played Green's last 5 games of bullshit lines the top 6 would almost have 1gpg 5v5 average. With Amadio back in the lineup the bottom 6 go from having 1 goal together this season to 8 (at even strength).
Do the top 6 gotta do more? For sure, 1 5v5 goal per game isn't going to win a cup but no one can get anything started so long as Green keeps burying all his offense. The PP needs to work, especially at home. And yea, Linus back will be a huge boon. But like you guys said, goalies don't score goals and having no offense outside of dodgy PP isn't a hockey team.

Nevermind goaltending or defense….what the hell happened to this teams scoring?!? They were SIXTH in goals per game for the majority of the season and now it seems like the offense has completely vanished.
