  1. What a fun game to watch. Between the high flying offense, especially in the first and Ned standing on his head… Just wow! I hope the players enjoy the victory as much as I did watching it. Keep Ned in net and keep it rolling boys!!

  2. #J1Q DK thank you as always for the show. As a Pens fan who lives in Los Angeles (and who has tickets to the Pens/Kings game in a couple weeks) I have to say that during these evacuations from the fires, this hockey game got me through a very scary day today. I was able to watch the game on my phone sitting in deadlock traffic on the freeway trying to evacuate our area. Anyway, I’m sitting here at 1am with my eyes on the fire updates, and listening to this episode I couldn’t help but think about when Sully says “we have to go play with some swagger” right!? Swagger felt like a good word for the team tonight. I can hear Sully saying it can’t you? lol thank you so much for the show and GO PENS!

  3. You just can't trust what they do on occasion against a good team when you see what they do against the Red Wings and Blue Jackets

  4. I believe in this team, but I will say this, Jarry cannot play the other 50% of the games. Ned HAS to get a majority of the starts from here on out. That Columbus game it felt obvious that they were going to blow that lead, and though it had other familiar demons, that one felt way more on Jarry. Ned quite literally SAVED them tonight.

  5. Wow – I just spent a good 10 minutes pretty much saying what you said – made it a point – before I listened to the entire thing – & I posted it & it’s not even here anymore … even edited it too so I know it’s there 🤣
just wanted to add that this team (a lesser team) made me a believer towards the end of last season … but I’m still a believer – especially of Sid’s leadership – & they have a much longer runway now than they did last season when they got really hot & started playing exceptional hockey .

  6. This win does speak volumes that was possibly the worst officiated game I’ve ever seen and we won despite that!

  7. It 's looks like allready play off team 🙂

Now is only question, if #71 will be healthy and ready to play, also Tomasino. Who will be out and in.

Frome side looks that, first time was puzzle pieces almost in the right place.

    Rust-Crosby-Rakkel
    Bunting-Glass-Bouvillier
    JP-Hayes-O Connor
    Nieto-Lizzote-Accari

Probably they will not tuch defensive lineup, thats ok

Ned looks good, looks like Elvis for Bluejacket couple night ago.

If Malkin ready, then he will be second line C and line up probably looks
Bunting-Malkin-Glass, looks productive, Glass have some chemistry with Geno and Bunting anyway will be good

Probably Sullivan not break 4line, this three guys suits also together.

If we looking back. O Connor played here and there, no results no points no goals nothing, he was lost. Hayes basically same here and there, just a few flashes. JP was undervalued and without the coach's trust. And probably he not suits to play with Malkin and Crosby line, also 4line. But this "big boys" together looks good and more producitve , if alone here and there. They give Penguins speed physicality and productivity. Three in one!

Lets see what decisions come from the coach and if everything stays the same in lineup, it would be interesting to see their next performance 🙂

  8. Thanks as always DK for all that you do. btw, re Canada's 4 Nations roster, Stuart Skinner is not the 3rd goalie on the Team Canada roster. It's Sam Montembeault with Jordan Binnington and Adin Hill

  9. Ned just always feels like he’s battling and competing out there even if he’s not the more talented goalie, where Jarry just feels too passive.

  10. At what point do they let Ned ride the hot hand. Jarry not the answer. Yesterday if Jarry was in net not sure they win or ot in cards as the infamous 2 goal lead with 10 min left

  11. Good to see D.O.C getting some goals now! The guy has hustle, now he has some goals coming in too! Obviously, Sid passing Joey Sakic for #9 on the all-time list is just great!

  12. I appreciate more positive shows like this. It’s refreshing especially since the Steelers imploded.

  13. The refs are a disgrace. They tried so hard to give them the game after some terrible penalties called at the end of the game.

  14. Anyone think Mcdavid is a wimp, that penalty against rust was horrible, Mcdavid ran into rust and falls. Idk that was bs call, kinda lost respect for Mcdavid. Diving 101.

  15. If sully keeps putting in Jarry he should not be the coach anymore. Ned is playing better. He won that game with some big big saves

  16. Good morning DK, love the daily shots for all three teams and the double shot every weekday. You and your company do phenomenal work. Just got a question for you about Saturday. Assuming your whole day will be revolving around the Steelers, are you recording then rewatching the pens game at 4? Or will you somehow watch it live then go right into watching the Steelers?

  17. Dk, Skinner is not on team Canadas 4 nation roster it’s Jordan Binnington, Adin Hill, and
    Sam Montembeault.

  18. Good morning, DK, Victor from Langley City, BC Canada 🇨🇦 I got to actually watch the game last night, and boy, that was fun!!! (Was also flippin to watch Notre Dame too 😁) Yes, they played hard for the majority of the game, and when they do, that results happen, period. A side note, I still don't see how that assist in the first was taken away from Sid and given to Rust? I swear Rust didn't touch the puck. If Sid had scored on the open net backhand, he would have had a 5 point game, with keeping that assist that was wrongfully taken from him. It's been quite some time since he had a 5-point game. That would have him at 50 points in 43 games about 1.17 ppg, and with 39 remaining, he'd need 50 for a 100-point year, which he's been flirting with the last couple of years. His slow starts to the seasons always put him behind off the get-go, but in typical Sid fashion, he then clicks usually 30- 40 games in and we get our 1.25+ Sid in the second half. At 37 years old, his point totals have climbed every year the last number of years, it's like his play is reversing as he's scoring MORE each year not less as he ages??!? So, a 100 point year would be a magical one for him, and for whomever plays the majority with him ie Rust (please stay healthy) and hoping Raks for the rest of the year, they may/would have career years! Just some fun and hopeful thoughts. Blessings as always DK 🙏 ❤️✝️

  19. And no Malkin. I said it over and over with Carter – stop playing the old guys game after game when they're shot. Hayes, Acciari, Nieto, Malkin, etc – as soon as their play falls off, REST THEM – they are only useful physically and mentally fresh. This team REQUIRES sharp play from 19 guys every night.

  20. think you gotta roll with ned… jarry is just so mediocre … also team plays much better together through the middle of the lineup without geno…js… more of a team game and grinding… but geno does sell tickets i get it

  21. That was the best first period we played all year. We were relentless on pucks all night.

Having said that, I don’t think we win that if Jarry was in net.

  22. Good game. The potential for the team is there, but they need to play consistently for 60 minutes and over more than one game and they need to find ways to win games. At this point everyone behind them in the standings has games in hand and the potential to pass them in the standings.

  23. I too am getting there DK. Ned on those rebound shots was amazing. Then they tried to block his view. Although not perfect, the whole team was hot and stayed on the puck. I loved this game. Thank you DK, yes

  24. This was the best all around well played game by the Pens season to date I thought. No bad let downs. One thing I noticed was that at times they just wouldnt just back up and let the opposition into their zone..they would step up and get in their faces and stop a play from even developing..I;d like to see them do more of that. I also think that if this was Jarry in goal, the outcome would have likely been different. He needs to sit.

  25. Win or lose, they’ve shown they can play and beat anybody. Just in the playoffs and it’s a new season.
