It was a bad game, stuff happens. Recover, play the system, work to find your own Jordan Staal type. Woll didn't have it tonight, neither did their defensive game, get up, get on your horse and get back at it.
The sun is too small a star to ever explode. So maybe someday the Leafs will stop choosing the silliest path forward, too? Idk 🙂 THAT might be too much to hope for 🙂
I have Mathews and Marner and we DO have +/- XD. What a fucking game, though they did both have +5's a couple days ago so its almost a wash between the two

Truly havent even noticed the change to the titles themselves. If not for the whining in the comments, id never have even realized something changed. I have to assume most of the whining is coming from the clowns from other fan bases that only watch after losses. They have to hit play now and dont stop watching until they hear "LEAFS WIN!!!!!!!"
For the Jailbreak part, Maybe its just me but imo you shouldn't get a reward for overcoming the odds you put yourselves at. You scored the goal and that evens out the risk of the remaining powerplay, worst that can happen from that point is they score and its like it never happened.
The only time I think I would be for some variation of that would be like when a retaliation call was made, like Team A does something dirty is going to get 5 or 4 mins and Team B starts a scuffle because of the dirty play and gets a 2 for roughing or something silly, if team B scored in the first 2 mins of 4v4 they could free their guy for the remainder of the major or 2nd minor so its 5v4 instead of it being 4v4 again like it would be now. To me that isnt rewarding you for overcoming odds you were silly and put yourself at, it would be rewarding standing up for a teammate in 90% of situations… it would get really awkward in a spot where you have like just a big scuffle that ended up with the lopsided calls but in my mind thats the only kind of situation I would want to reward a team for overcoming a penalty.
My powerplay goal rule is that teams have to kill off the full two minutes no matter how many goals are scored on the powerplay.

Giving the leafs a pass here as they were do for a loss . Defensively this may have been our worst game . OEL was on his off wing , a guy did a little deke to his right and he went by Oel like nothing , and scored . Matthews’s line was on for all goals . You could really see the defects when one of our main D man is out in McCabe . We gotta bounce back Saturday.

So at the end of the game you’re down by 1 with 2:25 left and other team takes a penalty and you pull your goalie. Other team just throws it down the ice and they score. Power play over? Nope stupid fucking rule. Don’t change it. You still have time to try for 2 goals and the power play
I'm warming up to this new title format but I just ask one thing, put the game number after LFR18. It looks weird at the end

Staal always plays well against Toronto . He had only scored 5 goals all season until he got half his total in one game against us.
Don't forget when Dallas won the Stanley Cup, Nieuwendyk won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP, and ALSO got enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame. The ends justify the means in this case.

How did I know Carolina was gonna play like a genuinely decently good game in a month and a half against the leafs and make me completely rethink my entire understanding of my canes team. Never normal games vs the leafs
