    Gotta be honest, I thought Eric would never want anything to do with Raleigh or the Hurricanes ever again considering how little Karmanos gave to support roster construction from 2012-16. He had no help other than Jeff Skinner by the end of his time here. So happy he’s home and the relationship seems to be repaired!

    I used to wear a jersey shirt to school and it was #12, Eric Staal. People all the time would ask me who he was, there weren't many hockey fans at my school in NC, lol. Nevertheless, thank you for your efforts and enjoy your retirement, Eric!
