I'm not a Rangers or Isles fan but the MSG is the home for the rangers and rangers only. Isles don't deserve it one bit
I don't see how this makes sense considering they just established themselves at this new arena. I mean unless they swap of course.
Rangers, Islanders, Knicks? Not happening. Ever.
Islanders have a fantastic fan base. I hope the team stays in that area, they have such a rich history.
I was Barclays once horrible stadium parking suck right next to stores no space between them shouldve stayed at Coliseum
Move them to the Meadowlands. That way New Jersey would have a reason to
re-open the IZOD center and The Islanders would at least have a home of their own for the time being.
Unlike Barclays Center – The Meadowlands arena is one place that doesn't
have any obstructed views and it's designed to have hockey as well as
basketball comfortably. It's the only real sporting arena that doesn't
have any parking problems either. The Meadowlands is an easy place to
get fans from New York and New Jersey which makes it easy to
get a sell out crowd.
New Jersey and the Islanders could be in a position to help each other
in this case. If it works out – The Islanders won't have any reason to
go anywhere and the state could upgrade the standard arena. Who's in a
position to lose ? Do they have a better option ?
Unless they do – This is the way to go.
They should just go back to Nassau Coliseum.
Won't happen, MSG already has a crampt scheduale as is adding another 48 games is going to be almost impossible, and besided are the Fishstix really gonna play a home game with a Rangers logo at center ice. As I see it the Fishstix can either stay at Barclays Center but on their terms which would probably be an unfair deal to the NYI. NHL officials and NYI managment work out their diffrences with Nassau County and move back to a revamped NVMC with an added 2k seats to reach NHL arena guidelines or the Islanders can move to Quebec which already has a brand new hockey arena with 20k seats and a huge potential fanbase.
Those are their only options cause they won't be getting a new arena unless their willing to flip the entire bill cause why would Nassau County, New York State and New York City build a new arena with MSG, NVMC, Barclays Center, Yankee Stadium and Citifield all within a few miles of eachother.
NNNNNOOOOOOOPPPPPEEEEEEE
So um why does New York have 2 teams in every sport?
Barclays Center is unique and awesome. Lots of great seats available at affordable pricing. Unique stuff there like the YeSUV and a specially placed scoreboard. All stuff that other arenas will copy in the future. There is a tough landlord to deal with but the Islanders are going to stay there and a cup will be raised there in the near future. The greatest team in the New York area will stay on Long Island in Kings county.
The Islanders Belong In The Nassau Coliseum.
Play at MSG?!? Are you high??The team would be better off moving because that would be a disaster for the fan base.
NOPE
NO FISHSTICKS PLS
If the Lakers and the Clippers can share an arena, then the Islanders and the Rangers can share one
The Rangers and Knicks belong in MSG ,, we don't need any fishsticks ,, go back to Nassau
Please no!!, that's like ur worst enemy as ur roommate, Find ur own place, Islanders
I want my Knicks separated from Dolan and everything to do with the Rangers. Let the Rangers keep the selfish and egotistical owner who does nothing beneficial for his teams
They should go back to Uniondale
NYC area has way too many NHL teams. rangers, isles and devils. No other professional sports league in North America has more than two in one metropolitan area. And hockey is not as popular as the other big three. Time for the Islanders to move. Quebec City, Seattle or Houston would make great additions to the league
Go back to Long Island but rename it maybe just move back to Long Island!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They should had made Barclays center ice hockey compatible
Yet, here we are 2 and a half years later. with Construction on a new Islanders arena set to start construction after Labor Day.
stop crying
As a Rangers fan I hope the Garden will keep the Rangers and the Colosseum will keep you islanders
