A rushed decision, is almost always a bad decision.

Conroy has handled the Flames absolutely perfect!! Patience is key.. This team isn't bottom 10 if anyone's upset blame Wolf for being an absolute badass in Net 😊!! The Habs can have the 16th pick whatever who cares. Flames have a legitimate goaltender thank you Wolf.. 2004 is all I will say!! Great coach, great goalie if this team keeps rolling Conroy has options..

If you added a fifty goal scorer without taking anything from your line-up, that'll only give you an extra twenty-five goals this year which would bring you to about a +12 instead of the – 13 they are now.
Their also fifth in the division, with Vancouver just starting to get back healthy, who are guaranteed to be adding come trade deadline.
It would cost you a first and a top prospect for something like that, and even then your not guaranteed to make it.
Yes their having a great year, and yes Wolf is playing out of his mind, but this isn't the time to scrap the rebuild for a year and put it a year behind.
You've got to stay the course and get the best deals you can come deadline day. Anderson's value will never be higher than it is right now, and you've got to take advantage of the that.
Connie knows what's up, he's doing great so far, good luck with the rebuild.

The problem with looking to add is not so much "the add" using a 3rd as you say its oh I guess we are not trading Anderson and a pick to try and acquire a high prospect center. From a team with a good chance like Dallas or whoever. For Anderson alone I think you might be able to get their number 1 prospect center as long as he's not already on the roster.

With the cap space the Flames have , they could add a player AND get a high pick by taking a contract off another team’s books … if it’s the right player and the right situation.
Playoff experience is important, so for a younger group if they are within 4 points they should add.
If there’s an issue, take a bad contract and a pick. Plus Connie has time to make the call.
